Full service restaurant with a welcoming and well trained staff and extraordinary view of our beautiful Catskill Mountains,. We are located just up on the hill in the Hamlet of Roxbury. Please join us and indulge in some notable Maui Pork Belly, locally and lovingly 808 Smoked Turkey Breast BLT and of course our Rueben Fritters. We have dinner specials on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and on occasion you will benefit from some of Rich's award winning soups. Ate o Ate at Shephard Hills is managed by Rich and Peg Ellsworth. Rich is a self taught chef that always brings an interesting twist to some standard favorites. Both he and Peg strongly believe they should bring their younger talent along for the ride and are making Shephard Hills a place to learn and grow. Hoping you will learn and grow with us. We pride ourselves in being one of the top steakhouses in the Hudson Valley, we age our meat in house, and get fresh seafood straight from NYC twice a week and have a great selection of craft beer and an extensive wine list. PLEASE NOTE reservations are required on weekends and holidays. We do require a credit card when booking for groups 5 and larger.Our seasonal outdoor dining is now open. We recommend bringing a sweater for the evenings in the Catskills tend to get a little cool and we do not always have the ability to move folks inside on weekends. Please let us know your seating preference when making your reservation, we will do our best to try and accommodate you.We do not allow pets.

    My mom, sister, and I had a 5PM reservation. We were seated on time. We started with a cocktail and then shared two appetizers which were great. Each of us ordered a different entree in addition to sharing a dessert. The food and service were excellent!

    The Valentines Day special menu and feature was excellent. We really enjoyed the three course meal for two. Everything was paired well and the service was excellent.

    Excellent dinner with a Prix Fixe menu for Valentine's Day. (Which OpenTable didn't show when we made our reservation.) Good helping sizes, and good options for each course, and with reasonable prices for an excellent glass of wine. We will visit again.
