Please join us and indulge in some notable Maui Pork Belly, locally and lovingly 808 Smoked Turkey Breast BLT and of course our Rueben Fritters. We have dinner specials on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and on occasion you will benefit from some of Rich's award winning soups. Ate o Ate at Shephard Hills is managed by Rich and Peg Ellsworth. Rich is a self taught chef that always brings an interesting twist to some standard favorites. We pride ourselves in being one of the top steakhouses in the Hudson Valley, we age our meat in house, and get fresh seafood straight from NYC twice a week and have a great selection of craft beer and an extensive wine list. PLEASE NOTE reservations are required on weekends and holidays. We do require a credit card when booking for groups 5 and larger.Our seasonal outdoor dining is now open. We recommend bringing a sweater for the evenings in the Catskills tend to get a little cool and we do not always have the ability to move folks inside on weekends. The dining room was very lovely and it wasn't overly crowded so the noise level was perfect. There was music playing but you could hold a conversation without shouting the way it should be at a restaurant. The portions were more than generous and we shared everything. The firecracker shrimp and calamari appetizer was nicely spiced with just enough heat. The warm kale salad was sauteed nicely and there was good contrast with crunch and sweet. The cowboy steak was cooked as ordered and tasty. Overall we truly enjoyed our meal and the service was attentive without being overbearing.
