The first Oven Restaurant, located in the heart of downtown Lincoln, has been around since 1988 and owned/operated by a dedicated family of chefs who have been creating Indian cuisine for over twenty seven years. The Oven Restaurants specialize in Northern Indian Cuisine which is known for its rich colors, flavor profiles and a unique style of cooking in a clay oven, called the Tandoor. Chicken, shrimp and lamb marinate for several hours in a yogurt and spice mixture and placed on skewers while various breads are being hand made by our chefs fresh each day. The skewers and breads are then placed in the tandoor over an open flame where breads are cooked to perfection and the rich flavors are sealed in to ensure tenderness and quality of the meat.     Our server was sweet but a little inexperienced. Her attention to us was a little slow but she was trying. The food was exceptionally good and we love the ambiance. I ordered the turkey avocado salad and it's amazing. Probably one of my Fave salads I've ever had. We have also eaten breakfast here and the quality of the food is top notch

    It was very festive and fun. The drinks were fun and unique. I love that they were served in festive mugs. The staff was great. It was a great place to enjoy the holiday season.

    Great waitress and service The food was good overall but the selection for the quiche on the menu-maple bacon is too sweet with very little substance except creamy egg texture. Quiche should have more in it and be savory. Venue used to have a great one!

    This was the perfect venue for my husband and I to have a relaxing Christmas Eve dinner (the day before an energetic Christmas Day filled with family!). New tradition with our children going to the other sides on Christmas Eve.
