Located 4 miles from Newcastle Emlyn, midway between Cardigan, Carmarthen & Aberystwyth, it's an ideal location for a few days rest or a relaxing meal in scenic surroundings. Food at The Daffodil is freshly prepared using the best quality local produce wherever possible. The menu, available to guests eating in the restaurant, bar areas and outside decking over-looking the unspoilt valley incorporates dishes appropriate for full three-course dining and for those wishing for more traditional bar-meal-style dining. At the Nag’s Head we are passionate about food and the excellent quality produce that is available locally. The majority of our food is freshly prepared and cooked from ‘farm to fork’ by our Head Chef Andy Millard and his enthusiastic kitchen team. Just the perfect place for Sunday lunch! A full choice of roasts & trimmings & very suitably portioned ( not too big/small). High quality ingredients carefully cooked & presented. Wide selection of beers & ciders. And our dogs were welcomed!! Thank you & see you again.

Our “go to “ place to eat in Cardigan. Never fails to deliver on flavour and atmosphere. Really fabulous staff who make all the difference. Would not hesitate to recommend!

It felt very festive, with the Christmas tree, decorations, and lovely log fire. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious, I shared sticky beef bao buns and chicken flatbreads for starter, then I had lamb tagliatelle, no room for dessert. The flavours were excellent.

Fabulous once again for a little family get together. Food was fabulous … Me and my son attempted the butchers block together but it defeated us the lamb chops , chicken gammon and sausages were beautiful , there was a very large rump steak and personally I would have been prepared to have paid a bit more for a smaller sirloin as it is a leaner cut and the pork chops were ok. My wife had the steak and ale pie which was fab and the chicken gyros pitta to start which was beautiful. Amazing quality food , service second to none and a great atmosphere 10/10.
