Bar Chelou is a neo-bistro that is both a distillation of Chef Doug Rankin's broad gastronomic interests and a deeply personal expression of his individualistic style. 'Chelou' (French slang for ‘strange’ or ‘unexpected’) is both the name and unifying theme of the restaurant, which draws from a range of culinary traditions and service styles to create something personal, novel, and fun. The restaurant is located within the Pasadena Playhouse complex. If you plan to visit the Playhouse after dinner, please book a 5:30p reservation to ensure ample timing for your dinner. We were there to celebrate a very special occasion and Fleming’s made it extra memorable. Service (Sarah) was excellent and all the food was delicious. The added touch of champagne was a wonderful touch and much appreciated. The entire Fleming’s Pasadena team was wonderful. Thank you!

Patrick the waiter was excellent great job , service and Food excellent got a Ny Strip med rare was excellent. Ahi tuna appetizer was fantastic ., we had Wedge salad it was good with Ranch dressing…Ruth Chris they decorated the table and had on name on the Menus for our anniversary dinner . This was fantastic dinner at Ruth Chris

Great food! Great Service! What a nice surprise to find this place. Definitely recommend the royal curry with soft shell, salmon appetizer, steamed bass. Can't wait to come back and try some more.
