Based in Greetham, The Wheatsheaf is 6 miles from Oakham and 4 miles from Rutland Water. Carol and Scott took over the Wheatsheaf in March 2008. The seasonal Modern British menu changes weekly. The wine list is based on wines from around the world with a good selection by the glass. Honestly, the only fault I can find is it's not closer to my house. Absolutely superb food and service, my wife and I were celebrating our twentieth wedding anniversary and we were treated like royalty. We had the seafood platter for two and a sweet each which was more than enough. Cannot fault anything,a huge thanks to all involved, you made our evening very special.

Very quiet evening- Monday in November is to be expected. Venue is lovely, looks recently refurbished or refreshed. We were made very welcome by their team, service was good. Food was fresh and hot with some good choices. Quality was excellent. Value fir money also. Many thanks to the team.

Food was exceptional. The staff were friendly and attentive. The homemade caramel vodka was amazing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. OLÉ!!!

Another lovely meal at The Ffolkes and Oishi Kitchen, food was delicious and friendly service as always. Rounded off with a game of container golf which is always fun! We’ll be back again soon, the Richards family!
