Captain Kidd Restaurant and Bar is an upscale and welcoming establishment that specializes in fresh seafood and American inspired dishes. As a landmark in the Woods Hole community for 100+ years, we relish in the tales of a tavern from our past, while adding a more modern take on dining. The interior is expansive and warmly decorated, offering guests unobstructed views of the water. Our outdoor seating consists of a lovely shaded patio, and two piers that jut out over Eel Pond. Captain Kidd Restaurant is good for families, groups and special occasions. Whet your appetite with a starter and get a cup of Chef Frank Belfiore's famous New England clam chowder, or our hand-breaded chicken tenders! Feel like sharing? The steamed mussels finished in a Posillipo sauce and the fried calamari are an absolute must. For the main course, go with the marinated hanger steak, classic fish & chips, oven roasted salmon, or grilled swordfish. Another Captain Kidd specialty includes our Lobster Roll!

    We were welcomed upon arrival by a friendly hostess and taken to our table promptly to celebrate my husband's birthday. Our server, Bella, was fantastic! We will go again.

    Service and atmosphere were great. But our choices , from apps, sushi , and desertswere disappointing. While everything was fresh, well prepared, and presented it lacked flavor. We were disappointed in the food.

    This restaurant never disappoints. Everything we had was well prepared and delicious. Had a garden salad with tomato/basil salad dressing - it is really good - interesting flavor profile and not the standard "Italian salad dressing". Also had mussels, swordfish piccata and the halibut limone. Both were well prepared and very flavorful. Also, both pieces of fish were perfectly cooked. Can't wait to go back!
