The Derby is more than a restaurant. Established in 1922, it has been family owned and operated since 1951. It is a grand museum showcasing some of horse racing’s greatest moments. Diners are invited to take a break from the rush of modern life and travel back to the time of George Woolf, Seabiscuit, and relive the excitement of “The Race of the Century”. We excel in offering the best meat and fresh seafood hand selected by our longtime executive chef that would delight even the most discriminating of taste. Some of the menu highlights include the Bacon Wrapped Filet, Delmonico New York, Prime Rib and Shrimp Scampi. We offer a wide selection of wines by the bottle and by the glass.     The Derby never disappoints! Bailey gave our table of four outstanding service. The food was delicious, especially the calamari. The fireplaces were roaring and the entire place decorated beautifully. We were enjoying it all so much, we stayed well into mid-afternoon.

    Our chef (Ray) was amazing. He interacted not only with me and my girlfriend, but he also did so with rest of the table. He truly made it an unforgettable experience.

    Nice clean restrooms are clean. Food was OK. It was good. Drinks were OK. Staff was very nice.

    Dined on 11/6/24. My husband was with me and my two kids. Our first time there. We ordered the happy hour oysters (12) and an order of the clams & mussels. Both fantastic! All 4 dinner entrees my family ordered were presented beautifully. Big portions and great flavor. Service was great. Many servers tended to us. Water never went dry. Enjoyed our experience. We will return.
