Le Garrick, located in London's theatreland, is an intimate French restaurant. There is a homely restaurant at ground level, while at lower ground level the friendly bar/dining room has intimate nooks and booths for romantic moments. Expect classics and favourites of French bistro cooking; Faux filet Rib Eye or Onglet with sauce poivre or Béarnaise & French fries. For pudding choose from Crème brulée or Lemon tart among the classic desserts. The 2/C prix fixe menu is a lifesaver pre-theatre. In an area that's full of chains, Le Garrick is a one-off. Annual celebrations in the restaurant for Beaujolais Nouveau and Bastille Day. Perfectly located for Covent Garden, Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square.

A lovely French restaurant with it's own iinimitable style. We had the pre theatre menu which although was limited , was very adequate in portion size. Food was wonderfully cooked and arrived hot. The atmosphere was quiet yet busy due to the closeness of the tables. Staff were attentive without being obtrusive- quietly doing their job with a smile.

Little cavernous gem in the heart of Covent Garden serving French cuisine & drinks at sensible prices. Staff all very engaging. Well worth a visit!

The tables in between very crammed and feel so cold near the back door that the staff keep coming in and out. There are lots of cosy rooms in the back and not used, they should have served the customers first rather than emptying them all night. Food was good and value for money, staff were nice and attentive.

The service was bad. Drinks forgotten, no cutlery, bread forgotten and a meal served with the ingredient on that had been especially asked not to be ( severe intolerance) The waitress wrote it down clearly so must have been the kitchen. Also very cramped in there, as if to fit as many tables in as possible. One was in the narrow corridor! Then we find out from a very apologetic waitress that the restaurant food lift had broken that day and was causing a lot of problems. So we did feel for the staff.I have been to this restaurant in the past and loved it, so hopefully it was just a one off. The food was lovely, particularly the steak. We gave full service charge despite the imperfect service as we figured that the lift breaking would explain the disorganisation. It is a very cosy restaurant with a beautiful but narrow winding staircase.
