Please note when booking: Lunch at Lemaire ends at 2pm. From 2pm-5pm we offer a lounge menu. Full dinner starts at 5pm.

New American restaurant and bar that is inspired by the agricultural and coastal traditions and bounty of Virginia. Lemaire delivers the quality and service The Jefferson Hotel is known for, but in an accessible format without the pretense, formality or expense!

Complimentary self-parking is available in both the Adams Street and Main Street lots. Valet parking is $18/car

For special requests (cake, flowers, etc) guests must contact Lemaire directly.

Tables are held for 15 minutes.

Separate checks are not available for parties of six or more. A 20% gratuity will automatically be applies for parties of six or more.

Table/seating requests are noted but not guaranteed.

    Food was incredibly mediocre and overpriced for the meal, so you are only paying for the ambiance and the atmosphere of the Jefferson Hotel. I was very unimpressed, but my girlfriend absolutely loved it. So take that as you please. They even ruined the creme brulee; they put some peppermint in it and completely covered up the vanilla and custard taste. Felt like I was eating a peppermint, very disappointing. If it was up to me I would never go back, rather pay 1/4 the price for good food somewhere else.

    We had a wonderful time for our anniversary dinner! The food was fantastic and our server was wonderful! We will be back!

    Nice setting. I ordered the salmon and it was very good. Our waitress was friendly and very efficient.

    An interesting mixed bag. We ate dinner and breakfast at Lemaire, as we were staying at The Jefferson Hotel. Dinner was somewhat problematic. We found the service rushed and brusque, the menu somewhat limited and quirky, and the food generally good. Breakfast the next morning, however, was a delight. Service was superb, menu was extensive, food was spectacular. I'm not sure whether or not our dinner was an anomaly, so I would want to try it again and see.

    Experience here highly dependant on server. Ours was excellent at this outing! Food was well prepared. While unavoidable, having dinner when there's a wedding on a saturday night did cause the delivery of high value service and was challenging. Management should be aware, or should know, when these situation arise and direct staff to additional service.

    For an intimate and romantic dining experience, Lemaire is perfect. Exquisitely prepared food, unique cocktails options, and attentive service makes this a place to return to for a special dining experience. The the ambiance of the historic Jefferson Hotel adds to the pleasure.

    This was the second time my husband and I dined at Lemaire. And just like the first time, we were blown away at the quality of service, the ambience and ultimately the amazing food! Highly recommend. PS never say no to dessert here.
