It all began with a love story and a dream. Linwood, a chef, and Ellen, a reporter, met 36 years ago in a restaurant of course! They married and began to envision that someday they would open a restaurant of their own. The restaurant’s first business plan was written at their dining room table on an electric typewriter. In 1988 Linwoods opened its doors, and it has been a labour of love for more than thirty years.

Linwoods’ cuisine consists of the freshest ingredients, and inventive preparation. Our service is warm and attentive. We have developed a reputation for consistency an attention to detail. These qualities are key to our catering business as well. Our team has worked hard to connect to our community, and we value our customers. These values have been central to Ellen and Linwood’s vision, and we hope are felt by our customers each day.

                                                                                    Great food and wonderful server. A little noisy due to a birthday party nearby, but tolerable. We love going to Linwood's for special occasions. We are lucky it is close to us.

                                                                                    Overall good restaurant with exceptional service and comfortable accoustics making it a good choice for special occasions. The food is tasty and creative, however one of the four dishes we ordered was virtually without taste - so I have given three stars for Value. The ambiance is okay, if a little cookie-cutter in décor. The kitchen is exposed to the dining area -which one supposes is cutting edge -but it was under-lit, almost dark, which diminishes the dramatic effect.

Here’s a refined version with a smooth flow while keeping your enthusiasm intact: ⸻ From the moment you walk through the door, the mouthwatering aroma of steak and seafood instantly excites your senses. The highlight for me? The bar—Jason and Katherine are simply the best! I couldn’t ask for a more perfect experience. The service is impeccable, and the cocktails are nothing short of five star perfection.

                                                                                    I ordered the beet salad and literally had 4 pieces of lettuce on the salad for the price I paid. I am going to pay the price, I don't want to leave hungry. I was disappointed in the serving size.
