For over a century, MICHELIN has been the food world’s north star (pun intended) to the world’s best restaurants. The scope of the Guide now offers a wider lens than ever before—with a new constellation of cities and restaurants added to its recs, we think it makes for some pretty appetizing stargazing. Without further ado, here are the 2023 Star and Bib Gourmands selections in Toronto.

Oggi che tutto è experience qui, da Don Alfonso a Toronto, siamo andati oltre. Un viaggio sensazionale in cui siamo stati condotti da uno chef eccezionale, tra emozioni sapientemente rese e sapori di rara percezione. Il percorso emozionale ha esaltato al meglio la strategia dei sapori dei più sapienti maestri di cucina, con la complicità di una sorprendente originalità. Il tutto in una cornice ambientale condotta da due illuminate Maitre di sala, compiutissime collaboratrici. D’altra parte l’ ‘essere rivoluzionari’ non rimanda (come tutti credono) alla tumultuosita’ degli eventi storici, ma a quello etimologico di ‘volgere indietro’, tornare, andare al punto di partenza. E’ così, come il moto terrestre della rivoluzione, io lo intendo come un girare perennemente intorno al vostro logos culinario; sublime e incantevole; irriverente e attaccato al passato; stravolgente e cheto!!!

At Quetzal, we celebrate regional Mexican cuisine, inspired by traditional flavours and cooking styles, all cooked over a 28 foot-long open fire that runs the span of the hot line.  Traditional moles, sauces and little-known native ingredients are transported to Toronto and infused with the bounty of local Ontario and Canadian produce, for a one-of-a-kind dining experience. Quetzal is located at the corner of College & Bathurst, at the edges of four Toronto hotspot neighbourhoods: Little Italy, Kensington Market, Harbord Village, and the Annex.

Io e il mio ragazzo abbiamo prenotato per l'esperienza "Chef's table" e scelta migliore non potevamo farla! Chef's table offre l'opportunità di cenare ad un tavolo di fronte alla cucina con le portate scelte , servite e spiegate dello Chef stesso. Siamo rimasti colpiti subito dalla professionalità dello staff del ristorante dove ogni singolo componente non ha mai perso tempo ma ha sempre lavorato rendendosi disponibile per i clienti in ogni momento. Servizio : Siamo rimasti entusiasti da come tutto lo staff fosse preparato nella conoscenza dei piatti e delle bevande offerte dal ristorante, cosa non scontata qui a Toronto. Il nostro cameriere nonostante fosse molto busy per la quantità di tavoli di quella sera , è stato in grado di coccolarci per tutta la durata dell'esperienza. Posate e piatti sono sempre stati cambiati tra un pasto e l'altro . Cucina Altra cosa di cui siamo rimasti molto colpiti è stato come la cucina nonostante fosse piccola sembrasse sempre armoniosa grazie alla pulizia l'ordine e la bravura dello staff. Ognuno aveva il suo compito, nessuno perdeva tempo, tutto rimaneva sempre curato e pulito e tutti rispettavano lo Chef. È stato bellissimo poter mangiare con vista sulla cucina e la sua armonia. Cibo Non ho parole per descrive quanto siamo stati contenti di poter mangiare vero Italiano a Toronto. Prima volta in cui piango per la contentezza e i ricordi che mi da una pasta. Ci avete riportati a casa, a Roma. Tocco di classe con pane, mortadella e focaccia fatto in casa! Vi auguriamo di prendere una stella Michelin ! Grazie ancora Federica e Andrea
