Food was excellent here! Friendly staff that accommodated our vegan food regimen. Would highly recommend! Great wine choices as well!

Service was excellent. Food was superb. Cozy setting with 2 rooms with fireplaces on a cool autumn night.

Excellent food, service, ambience. I had scallops and then duck cooked perfectly. My wife had fillet - asked Fitbit medium rare and it’s a bit too rare for her taste but perfect for mine. I’ve been coking to this restaurant since the 1970’s and will be back.

We had an amazing dining experience here. My girlfriend and I were celebrating our birthdays. When I made the reservation I requested to sit near the fire and they seated us right in front of it — the most romantic table in the whole restaurant. We did the tasting menu with the wine pairing. Every single course was incredible (oysters, scallops, duck, filet mignon, chocolate pudding!) and each wine was perfectly paired (with generous pours!). This is a meal and experience we will be talking about until we come back again. Highly recommend!

Simply amazing. Every single thing was super incredible. You must eat here when in Mendocino. Had duck and halibut....and banana split. Homemade sour dough bread and whipped butter. All sauces are so delicate and delish. Everything cooked perfectly! Home made ice cream Chef is a genius and deserves michelin stars. Seriously best meal have eaten in years and I was in France and Italy recently. I wish I lived closer and I'd be here every week! 10 stars for everything, especially the chef!

The food was good, but not great. The salad was overdressed & the pasta overcooked. Ambiance was really nice. It’s a super cute old house, converted to a restaurant.

This was supposed to be a wonderful birthday experience. The restaurant was told in advance that this was a special celebration. The waiter spoke so quickly that we could hardly understand him. We ordered cocktails to begin with and after a few minutes (before the cocktails came) we put in our dinner order. The dinner order came before the cocktails! I was so flabbergasted that I refused the plate that the server tried to put on the table in front of me saying "We want to enjoy the cocktails that were ordered!" FINALLY the drinks came and the table in back of us had just been seated and already had a basket of bread and butter; these had not been sent to our table. The manager came to apologize and offer bread and butter but the night was spoiled. We finished our drinks, paid and left without eating.

Always our favorite place to dine in Mendocino. Great quality food, hospitality and service. And best views on the porch with frogs and crickets chirping for a beautiful backdrop. Love it!
