Maggiano’s is a special place for our family. We have celebrated many landmark events here and are always overwhelmed by the hospitality that is reminiscent of a bygone era. From the moment you enter the restaurant, you are transported to a time of elegance where the experience is equally about atmosphere, service and quality of food. Our waiter Reggie was wonderful and attentive. Cocktails were served with a flourish and the food was done to perfection and beyond expectation. My husband and I dined here on Christmas Eve with our daughter and grandson. He loved the special attention he received. We will continue to look to Maggiano’s for family events and celebrations. Thank you to the owners and staff who continue to pay attention to the details that make guests feel special and the time spent in your company memorable. God’s blessings to you all and thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Just felt like the service was average. We waited a long time for drink and bread refills. Had to ask for Parm cheese and pepper for our salads. The waiter was okay but it's like he was just there to do a job. Like he did not care about doing any extra or beyond like most of the time the service we get when coming here to Maggianos. I just feel like the workforce is general or people doing service for the public is laxed and they just don't care anymore. Makes you just want to stay home and prepare your own meals.

I order spaghetti with the new Bolognese sauce. Sauce needs improving or bring back the meat sauce. Overly cheesy and bland

So, Sunday night, a little rainy and humid in the Galleria. Almost feels like a late spring day, not 10 days before Christmas! Nevertheless, our family gathered for our annual Christmas dinner and we choose Maggiano's this year. It's a fabulous location, it's the holidays, what's not to like, right? First, the ambiance inside screams holiday season with all the decorations. The inside made you feel like the holidays are upon us. We lived in Houston full-time for over 30 years but still maintain an apartment here. Being in the hill country of Texas keeps us away from the city and lots of people. At Maggiano's, it's in the middle of the city and lots of people. If one is not used to that anymore, it's a little unnerving. That's precisely what we had at Maggiano's - lot's and lot's of people! Once we got seated, the server came over and talked to us about the food service. You had the option of family style dining, or order individually from their menu. We chose the latter because then one can order what they want to eat. Let me cut to the chase, the food was good, above average at best, but it was not great! The bread that was served with the olive oil for dipping was excellent. The whole group ate it up! The entrees were big, and the server helped out a lot with the choices. The food came quickly- almost too quickly. We were still finishing our salads and here came the entrees! Remember my comment about lots of people? That was several stars less in my review for rating their service. They were just too many people with too few servers to take care of the customers. The place was packed to the gills, so our customer service suffered. No matter, kudos to our server Q, he was serving too many tables with big parties like ours. We rewarded him with a nice tip, nonetheless. He worked hard and although it was hard to find him at times during our 3 hour dinner, it was not his fault. The fault lies with Maggiano's because they are allowing this kind of bad service

Fabulous food! Sensational service! Awesome ambiance! As per usual, we enjoyed our dining experience. We LOVE their calamari - we have traveled all over the world and no other calamari compares with Maggiano’s!
