We were welcomed warmly by the friendly host and seated at a table overlooking the pool. (We had reservations.) We absolutely loved the cavatappi Bolognese and the Margherita pizza with added mushrooms, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The live music by Dustin Park made our meal especially enjoyable. Our server told us about the live music they have every evening, and we really appreciated his recommendations. We will be back!

Came in with 4 adults and 2 kids and had a great experience with live music and delicious food. Service was excellent and the vibes of the hotel are awesome!

This review is about Mahina & Son's New Year's Eve dinner. We've been two years in a row and the family dinner with the whole fried snapper is unbelievable. Hoping to come back for year three just for the fish! Our waitress was sweet and attentive as can be and matched the festive atmosphere with her friendly, enthusiastic manner. This must be one of the best New Year's Eve dinner deals in Waikiki when so many restaurants that night have only prix fixe menus for $200-400 a person, not including the cost for drinks or wine pairings!

Our family really enjoyed our meals. Wait staff was prompt, food was delicious and live music in the background was perfect. Would recommend

I’ve stayed at the Surf Jack before and dined at Mahina & Suns while there (and loved it). Tonight, sadly was a miss. First, I have to say that the bartender and owner are awesome. The cocktails were great. Food: The kale salad was under seasoned. The rib eye was tough and the sauce tasted like ketchup. I didn’t finish either. In terms of ambience, there was a huge table of screechy 20-sthg girls that was more than distracting. (Ironically, the hotel was getting ready to have a silent disco that night.) They kindly comp’d a drink but I def feel I overpaid for what I “got” tonight. I’m not saying don’t go. More, approach with caution. The hotel itself is amazing.
