Portugal: Land of Explorers
In the 15th Century, Prince Henry the navigator ordered his explorers to bring back to Portugal any exotic fruits, nuts and plants from the new lands. Tomatoes and potatoes are taken to Europe, Brazilian pineapples were introduced to Azores, Brazilian chili peppers grew in Angola, African coffee was transplanted to Brazil.
Today the Portuguese fondness for ingredients like cinnamon or curry powder, is also a legacy of his time. The Romans brought wheat and introduced onion, garlic, olives and grapes. Later the Moors were the first to plant rice and introduced figs, planted groves of lemons, oranges and almond trees. Portugal is a seafaring nation with a well-developed fishing industry trading cod since the 15th century.
Today, naturally, Portuguese cuisine varies from region to region , but fresh fish and shellfish are found on virtually every menu. BOM APETITE!!!!

I brought my sales team for dinner. There were 5 of us. I ordered appetizers for the table- about 6 dishes. Before I finished ordering the waiter said “let me stop you right there. You are ordering too many dishes”. He then began to recite my order which included 2 Spanish meatball orders. The entire table felt he made the situation weird. I told him to leave the second meatball off, to satisfy him. When the appetizers came they were immediately consumed except for the muscles. They would have been eaten but the table did not like them. It wasn’t a big deal and we had a good laugh at the waiters expense (and I still tipped him 25%). But he should not be stepping on me as a host. And by the way everyone wanted 3 more plates of Spanish meatballs. On another note the main dishes were average at best. My skirt steak was overdone and everyone agreed their dishes were woefully under seasoned. I don’t think we will be back.

Have been away for a while and we were thrilled to see that food and service is still as good as ever, maybe even better. I had the flat iron steak which was vet flavorful and cooked perfectly. My partner had the shellfish and white bean special. It's a real Portuguese dish and it was inhaled. Really good stuff that we missed

The service was great. All four of us had different dishes. My husband’s steak was cooked just right and all of our seafood dishes were excellent The wait staff is efficient without being intrusive

Food variety is wonderful. The grilled octopus and empanadas and paella delicious. Wine list extensive and can order by the glass. Waitstaff extremely attentive…

My first time there and it was great service and our waiter was knowledgeable and the food was well seasoned and delicious, my only complaint was that we were seated next to two tables with young kids and it was annoying as it was a birthday dinner for my spouse.

Amazing and truly authentic Portuguese deliciousness. The service was amazing. I had the clams in butter appetizer and then the paella was absolutely perfect. My man had the lamb entree and he loved it. Great place and will definitely be returning
