Marche, located in Eugene, Oregon, opened in August 1998. The restaurant, which seats 80 guests, has an exhibition kitchen featuring a beautiful wood-fired oven. There is also a stylish bar and a large outdoor dining area, covered with awnings and umbrellas and surrounded by a garden of herbs and edible flowers. Marche takes its name from the French word for market – a word that describes our location in the bustling 5th street Market and more importantly, our philosophy of cooking. The menu is based on the foods one would find at a farmer’s market: fresh, seasonal, and regional. Marche is committed to using only those ingredients that are at their best, so our menu evolves as we move through the seasons of the year. Marche also believes in using the highest quality and most healthful ingredients available and to that end use organic, free range, and chemical free products. The culinary technique is French-based: intensely flavored and simply but beautifully presented.

                                                                        Another great evening at Marche of delicious food and fabulous service. The only blip was the chocolate mousse dessert that had a cookie embedded within the mousse. Didn’t know it was there and couldn’t even get a fork through it.

                                                                        Great atmosphere and service. Went here late after a Ducks game and the food was great. Had a round of pizzas and salads and everything was really good.

                                                                        Waiter was new & not knowledgeable about either the menu or wine list. He also didn’t ask for assistance when we had questions. Service was slow.. food was good.

                                                                        If you go for brunch, get the beignets, and ask for the potatoes with creme fraiche, you won't regret it. The omelets are superb, and my dining partner loved the salmon hash.

                                                                        Marche' is and has been our favorite restaurant in Eugene for decades. Service is friendly and efficient. Food is perfectly prepared with a rainbow of flavors. Ambiance is comfortable as the restaurant is nicely decorated. Every meal is the perfect dining experience. Jeffrey Ogburn

                                                                        We went for a special Beaujolais dinner but the OpenTable reservation did not capture that fact of my reservation so we had to order off the regular menu. That was a disappointment! The service was excellent and the food was good!

                                                                        I'm so sorry that happened! We were surprised at what an enthusiastic response we got to the Beaujolais dinner–so much so that we're planning to host some more regional events very soon. I hope I can entice you to come again so we can make it up to you.
