Since 1919, Mario’s Restaurant, a landmark located in the heart of the “real Little Italy” of the Bronx, Arthur Avenue, has been serving robust, authentic Neapolitan fare for five generations. Recipient of Americas Regional Classics 2000 James Beard Restaurant Award, all the food is made to order, prepared by Executive Chef Massimo, using only the purest, freshest highest quality ingredients. Mario's has come full circle, originally founded by a woman, Scolastica Migliucci and now run by her great-great granddaughter Regina Migliucci-Delfino. You will be greeted like family when you walk through the door and our knowledgeable wait staff will graciously help you through our extensive menu, daily specials and our award winning dishes. Exceptional meal and service. I would rate it very highly. A pleasant surprise was the valet parking that really solves the only potential problem around Arthur Ave.

Ambiance is classical and professional. Drinks were served well from their bartender and a variety of spirits to choose from. Like that they had specials of the day in all categories appetizers, soups, desserts, entrees, and drinks. The baked clams were delicious very moist not dried out and seasoned well! Clam chowder was surprisingly tasty with a hint of lemon and sherry wine! Baked manicotti was FRESH and Superb!!!!! The Veal Marsala was Excellent!!!!! So happy they had veal many places removing veal from their menus. We had a wonderful time and hope to come back, Thank You So Much Mario’s!!!!

I used to love Mario’s as my go to Arthur Ave spot. I was disappointed with an overpriced lunch menu, $14 up charge on adding shrimp to an over dressed salad, and only 5 tiny shrimp added. The service was meh and not as friendly as it used to be. May need a new Arthur Ave spot unfortunately.

We come from a restaurant family so we were really looking forward to trying someplace new for us. The ambiance is dated, the noise level is very loud ( which didn’t bother me just an observation) the service was ok but the food was very disappointing. Chicken Francese was tough with overpowering lemon in a gelatinous sauce. Braccoila big but very dry. May have been a landmark Arthur Ave restaurant many years ago but we were highly disappointed.
