Max Lager's was one of the first restaurants to bring the fresh and natural wood-fired menu concept to Atlanta. The art of cooking with wood enhances the Max Lager's experience with bold flavors simply not found with alternative cooking methods. We feel that the investment made in the wood-fired grill is an investment that pays great dividends to our guests.

All Max Lager's menu items are prepared daily from scratch. Wood-fired steaks, burgers, seafood, ribs, and pizza are Max Lager's signature items. An inspired selection of entrée salads and pastas add variety to the American menu.

                                                                                Restaurant experience was great - food great, server great, ambiance great. We parked in the parking lot directly behind the restaurant at 7:30 on a Friday night and my son's car had his window smashed and his backpack stolen. So that - not great. Restaurant should offer valet service if that's what happens in this area. We won't be coming back.

                                                                                The food and beer was excellent. We both had steaks and they were cooked properly and the sides were well-seasoned (great fries!). We had the fried cheesecake for dessert and it was delicious…crunchy, sugary and rich. Service was timely and pleasant. It was a lovely experience.

                                                                                I had a buddy in town and we picked this place because it was rated well and close. The atmosphere was casual and we were greeted upon arrival. The beers and drink were as expected. The food was good with the exception of my friend having a slightly overcooked steak. I had the grouper sandwich, which was delicious. We ended with the bread pudding, great flavor, not too sweet and could have been cooked a little more to firm up the middle. Our server was Jason and he was super cool, very attentive and personable. Overall really good experience.

                                                                                We had a reservation, but the restaurant was extremely busy. When we were seated we waited half an hour before seeing a server and getting water. We were told the kitchen was substantially behind so we could decide whether to stay or leave. Knowing we wouldn’t be able to get seated in any other restaurant, we stayed. It took almost three hours total complete our meal. We appreciated our server’s honesty and upbeat manner, but it really did take too long for every aspect of our meal.
