Max Lager's was one of the first restaurants to bring the fresh and natural wood-fired menu concept to Atlanta. The art of cooking with wood enhances the Max Lager's experience with bold flavors simply not found with alternative cooking methods. We feel that the investment made in the wood-fired grill is an investment that pays great dividends to our guests.

All Max Lager's menu items are prepared daily from scratch. Wood-fired steaks, burgers, seafood, ribs, and pizza are Max Lager's signature items. An inspired selection of entrée salads and pastas add variety to the American menu.

                                                                                Had New Years Eve holiday business and about 50K extra people in town for the Peach Bowl. Ran out of beer. Asked for their Pilsner…out of that also. Got the food, but no silverware. Ordered pizza, but didn’t offer cheese or red pepper. The pizzas and salads were great, but everything else was an issue. I’d go again just to see how they’d do without that extra business.

                                                                                We stayed at the Hyatt Place which is right next-door to Max Lagers. We ate their three different times and spent New Year’s Eve there as well. Their entire staff is hospitable, friendly and accommodating. Food was excellent! Special shout outs to Sapphire, Morgan, Shawn and La La. Highly recommend!

                                                                                The place was empty as we walked in around 4:45pm Sunday. We were sat at a dirty table which we brushed off. The server was nice and told us what she recommended. After ordering, the wings took about 20 min to come out. Main dishes (burger & creole shrimp) took about 35min. We figured bread pudding would be quick. The waitress said she would tell the back to step on the gas. This ended up taking the longest. I think she forgot about us. She acted like it was someone else’s fault once we finally asked if it would be out anytime soon. We are visiting from AZ and this was our first restaurant here, so I’m not sure if it’s just the slow moving south, or our waitress. I did like the food and I’d probably go back, although my bf feels differently.

                                                                                If there were a MINUS ONE STAR, I would choose it. Service was absolutely terrible, no personality, never came back to visit the table and had no knowledge of the menu. The food was just as bad as the service, had to return the spinach dip as it was way too salty, and the "Manhatten" steak was an insult, as it came on a plate with nothing else on it, it was small and dry to taste. The topper was the bartender didn't know how to make a chocolate martini, and would not even try to look it up. The whole experience was awful - definitely see this restaurant going out of business soon, considering there are so many other good restaurants in the area.

                                                                                For a pub, the food was surprisingly very good. My grouper was excellent and my colleague’s salmon was the same. Another mate had the wings which were crispy with a hit of spice in the coating. We chose this spot due to location as our hotel was less than a block away. We were all very pleased with the food. Service was friendly and attentive.

                                                                                Had our food packed up to-go after waiting over an hour watching everyone else that sat after we ordered eating. Food was disgusting to top it all off. Will never be back.

                                                                                As always, I had a wonderful experience. The mark of a really great restaurant is when you can come eat the same meal over and over again (the grilled pork chop) and it is delicious EVERY time.
