Maynard’s is locally owned and operated, and prides itself in giving back to the communities it serves. Known for the best views of Lake Minnetonka and the best waterfront dining in the state, Maynard’s is a place everyone can enjoy. Our American Casual menu is sure to suit even the most specific appetite, and our bar area is a great place to gather for the big game and enjoy our award winning happy hour.

Maynard’s is a place the locals can call home while still serving as a main tourist attraction of the Twin Cities Metro. We pride ourselves in a quality product at a fair price, but believe our consistent service and attention to detail (even amongst the big summertime crowds) sets us apart.

    We spent an hour walking in Excelsior before arriving at 4:15 pm for an early dinner. I had the Thai chicken bowl and it was excellent. A generous portion with lots of chicken and cashews. My wife had the Frannies Chicken Salad which was wonderful. Nice amount of fried chicken, half a hard boiled egg, a nice amount of sliced avocado along with a nice iceberg lettuce. Wonderfully done and my wife loves it so much she ate the entire salad! When we sat down I ordered a Castle Danger Cream Ale and my wife had a nice glass of dry white wine. The service as always was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our Friday afternoon outing.

    Our food and drinks prepared exactly as requested. Our server Josh was great and attentive to our needs. Great vibe here!

    Years ago and I mean years ago, as a family we would dine at Maynards. Then the place became so popular that it was hard to ever get in to eat. They didn't take reservations in those days so candidly we gave up trying to go there. The meal just hosted by my daughter to celebrate my birthday was excellent as well as the service. Food quality has remained high standard at reasonable prices. I am so glad we were able to make a reservation through Open Table. I enjoyed my meal so much I would like to go back soon.

    It was very good as usual. I had the Firecracker wrap, could have been a little more "firecracky" for me. It was light on the firecracker sauce but still very good. I like the waffle fries more crispy, they were not.
