Chef & Owner Josiah Citrin has revived his Michelin 2-Star institution with an intimate, 14-seat restaurant with Chef/Partner Ken Takayama. In a setting that blurs the line between kitchen and dining room, Chefs and service staff guide guests through a 2.5-hour culinary experience.

Collaborating with California farmers from San Diego to Napa Valley, Chef Josiah sources the most unique and exclusive ingredients available. An 8-course tasting menu is bookended by canapés, amuse-bouches and mignardise, all of which showcase global flavors using both modern and classic techniques.

We were there for my sons 14th birthday and everything was perfect! We also were lucky to have two chefs and the dishes couldn’t be more delightful! Thank you.

What a great little spot. I think there were 5 tables only and they prepared the dishes right in front of you. Spinning old school vinyl was a cool touch. Food and service was outstanding. Just a great dinner all around

Outstanding! Creative, tasty, beautiful cuisine. Delightful wine and non-alcoholic pairings. We were underdressed (jeans+polo) relative to others (shirts/jackets, nice dresses) but felt very welcomed. Service was crisp but personal and friendly - no rushed memorized descriptions. Loved the vinyl music selections that gently accompanied our dinner. So happy we were able to get a reservation!

Outstanding food, some of the most amazing food, flavors and preparations of any fine dining Michelin stared restaurants we have had. Service was amazing along the wonderful wine pairings. Beautiful setting for restaurant to get to see the open kitchen and pleasant settings all around.

An absolute delight! Celebrating a birthday and new career so both are worthy of the extra expense. The ambiance was unexpected - the MUSIC! - we have been to several Chef's Tastings in the past (other venues) this one was so relaxed, upbeat and FUN :) We were welcomed warmly and treated as family (I'm Italian so that means ALOT) The food - I cannot describe as those who do professionally so I am simply going to say - why else would we consider Melisse? We had no expectations and if we did I am certain they would have been exceeded - absolute symphony of flavors, textures, combinations, colors and the delivery of each course professional, warm, friendly and knowledgable. Thank you sounds like a simple response...but to Melisse and Staff, thank you

Best culinary experience ever. It's amazing to watch the chefs at work right in front of you. Every dish is prepared with minute details towards taste and presentation.
