Serving "inspired cuisine" since 1987, the celebrated Michael’s On East restaurant takes fine dining to another level, offering award-winning cuisine and outstanding service, in an exceptional 1940s supper club atmosphere. Michael's On East has been inducted into Nation's Restaurant News Fine Dining Hall of Fame and recently received their 34th consecutive AAA Four-Diamond Award. The 350+ bottle wine list has been awarded the Best of Award of Excellence by the Wine Spectator!

Upon entering the dining room, you are immediately dazzled by the plush design and inspired décor. The restaurant’s intimate aura, along with its contemporary flare, world-class wine cellar and incomparable service, create an unparalleled dining experience.

    Food is excellent. Prices have gone up a lot since my last visit a few months ago. Both my wife and I always enjoy our favorite server, Chrissy. She makes coming to Michael's worthwhile. Her excellent service and pleasurable personality are what makes Michael's our favorite restaurant in Sarasota. I would highly recommend Michael's for anyone looking to celebrate a special event. I would also like to recognize Troy who greeted us at the door and helped us to our table. He was very pleasant and personable.

    We dine at Michael’s on East regularly. The experience is always the same: outstanding. The atmosphere is lively and sophisticated. The food is excellent and the staff is professional. My favorite part of this particular meal was the sesame “basket” the dessert course came in from the Japan menu. Delicate and delicious.

    Kris, our server, was fantastic. We had to wait almost a halkf hour for our reservation so I can't give 5 stars but, once seated, everything was great. Food was fantastic, ambiance great and the service was perfect. I will be back.

    My husband and I were engaged at Michael's on East about 36 years ago and have been back several times since. So, we thought, what a great place to celebrate our retirement. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. Our waiter was slow and inattentive. He took the food orders of two other tables who came in after us before he even took our drink order and then had to come back because he forgot what we ordered. They had no oysters and ran out of the liqueur for the specialty drink my husband ordered. The food was nothing special. The young man who filled our water glasses was very attentive and made sure we never ran out. Not sure I would go back, expected better.

    The Japanese Epicurian menu was exceptional, compliments to the chef (may I suggest on the Epicurian menus to mention the name of the chef…kudos!). Service was top notch, friendly, prompt, they outdid themselves. Our favorite restaurant in Sarasota by far!
