   Our waiter Eli brought an order to the table that I had amended in my order. It included a full plate of spinach which I had asked to have replaced with other lettuces. When I pointed it out to him, he did nothing about it. I try to patronize this restaurant when I can and everyone is accommodating. He did not seem to care. Disappointing

   Enjoyed a quiet dinner at Midtown Bistro with a friend. The restaurant was not busy therefore the service was prompt and the place was quiet. We both had the special, which was a fabulous pasta dish featuring mushrooms, sautéed baby bok choy and topped with deeply seasoned shrimp. I had not been to Midtown in a while and had forgotten how good it was. I’ll definitely go back soon.

   You can see my previous reviews of this eatery in various places online. From the moment we arrived through our departure, everything was person. The staff was friendly and attentive. The menu consisted of the regular varied entrees and appetizers, and two specials of the day/week. Today, we started with the Wild Mushroom Potato Bisque, then opted for the Omelet and Pasta specials. For dessert: Creme Brulee and Dark Chocolate Cake. All were excellent.

   As always we enjoyed Midtown Bistro. I had the fish and chips and my wife had a Reuben. Both very good. Paula, our server did a very efficient job. All in all a very pleasant experience.

   Very nice restaurant. Calamari was exceptional, as was the pasta special. The crab cakes were disappointing, being a bit soggy.

   Food & service was good. I was surprised when we were charged for plate service for serving a bday cake. I had called the day before to ask specifically about this service. I was told I could ring a bday cake, but not about the $5.00 charge per guest. This was my only disappointment.

    I had a business lunch today at the Midtown Bistro and everything was great. My Client and I both had different Salads for Lunch. One was a Caesars Salad and the other was a Steak Salad. Both were quite tasty and large. The atmosphere was very comfortable and quiet, making it good for a business discussion. Our server was very efficient and checked multiple times to make sure everything was to our liking and refilled our waters before we even thought about asking for more. The General Manager, Edmund Catanach, stopped by and chatted with us for a while, making our experience even more personal. All in all, it was an excellent dining experience. I will plan to come back again.
