Mildred’s Temple Kitchen in Liberty Village is brought to you by the famous Mildred Pierce Restaurant, and its owners, Donna Dooher and Kevin Gallagher. After welcoming guests for almost 20 years , Mildred has moved on to an astounding new venue at 85 Hanna Avenue in the heart of the vibrant community of Liberty Village. The contemporary menu brings with it the classics from Mildred Pierce, as well as their unforgettable Sunday brunch. With design by Brian Brownlie of du Toit Architects, this appealing room is bound for stardom.

I thought the food was amazing and despite being really busy they found a way to ensure customers were well entertained as they waited for their tables

Food okay but not great. Maybe an off day. Portions unexpectedly small, ended up ordering biscuits to fill us up. Maybe just what we ordered

Busy, and noisy. Instagramable but not much more. The food is good, but service struggling (this is my 3rd time eating here that the server didn’t pay attention to my allergy concerns, once resulting in needing to administer epinephrine). The only thing I now feel comfortable eating here is the pancakes. If I was to review just them, it would be 5star across the board. Sadly this isn’t the case. In the future I’ll be ordering pancakes to go and enjoy them on the comfort of my home without the loud ignorant people and absent minded although attractive enough servers. If you’re looking to take some photos for Instagram and you don’t care much about your food or service, then this is definitely a good place for you.

Staff are lovely and as helpful as they can be, but very busy. The food arrives promptly and is some of the best brunch food in the city. Also, their lattes are amazing!

We had a wonderful birthday celebration at your restaurant. We didn't feel rushed, noise level was fine and the food delicious. The space feels intimate despite the large room and high ceilings. Outstanding food.

It seemed that they were either short staffed. Only 1 server for about 8 tables. It took very long to order. At least 15 mins until after we arrived for someone to ask if we wanted a water. Took 50 mins for our dinner to arrive. A supervisor did apologize 35 mins in after we asked for the food. He said they were plating the food and would take 3 more minutes but it took 12 mins. Why lie, I can see the kitchen & plates being brought to tables? If we didn’t ask about the food, no one would have noticed if we didn’t say anything which was the worst part. The restaurant was at 60% capacity so I can’t imagine how it operates at 100%, if they can even manage that. They offered complimentary dessert but we were unhappy about the whole experience no amount of house made profiteroles could save that dinner. This place has been a disappointment before. I was hoping it would get better....
