Taverns have had a constant important presence in American life since the late 1600's. Many of them, which were attached to inns, were opened as resting places for travelers needing a place to stop, relax and fortify themselves. Of course the local residents frequented the taverns too, purchasing drinks and meals as well as participating in lively conversations. Taverns were the focal point for neighbors to come together, exchange news, talk of politics, and share in the general feeling of conviviality. Taverns were firmly established as gathering places for the light hearted socializing, serious talk, and of course, a
hearty meal accompanied by a tasty libation or two.

                                                                                      Waitress & manager were awful. Hosting staff not dressed appropriately for this caliber of restaurant. Waitress made many errors when talking about the menu including ingredients in particular dishes. We waited a LOOOOOOOOng time for our food to come out and when it did, it was cold.

                                                                                      The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Food was cooked to perfection. I had the short ribs and my girlfriend enjoyed the seafood risotto. I’d recommend them both! We also loved the maple crème brûlée for dessert. The drinks were also delicious (reposado margarita without the heartburn, and the red sangria with fresh fruit). Bryan provided top notch service. We will be back to try the steaks that looked out of this world.

                                                                                      Wonderful in ALL respects - great (semi innovative) tasting menu. Only singular negative, just by chance for us, was seating near enough (which was actually quite a distance) to experience cold blast of air, each time entrance door opened.

                                                                                      The charcuterie was superb, the steak was excellent, and the creme brulee was so delicious. The staff was great, we loved the atmosphere, and it was a really great meal at a really great restaurant. We'll be back again!

                                                                                      We had dinner at Mill’s Tavern on Friday evening and had an excellent experience. The food was delicious and our server James did an exceptional job. The evening could not have been more perfect. We look forward to coming back again soon!

                                                                                      We were a party of 9. Food was good, service was very good. Seating was good. The oysters and clams were well selected and fresh. The sides, especially potatoes were not very creamy. The sides seemed to be overlooked. The lamb chops were over cooked. Served medium . That said my strip was cooked perfect and truly prime. A Decent wine list. My guests all had a nice evening, and were happy with my choice. Saying they’d return.
