Milton's is a local restaurant that is a beautifully renovated 150 year old Farmhouse displaying many of it's original features, nestled in the heart of the Crabapple area of Milton, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. Executive Chef Derek Dollar serves “New Southern” cuisine that utilizes fresh, local ingredients to create regionally inspired comfort food with bold flavors that are artistically presented in a relaxed and friendly environment. Pop some bubbly and enjoy executive chef Dean AJ Jones' specially curated three-course prix fixe menu for $95 per person {not including tax & gratuity}. The dessert course will include a glass of bubbly. This will be the only menu available on New Year's Eve. The menu will be posted on our website shortly. We will be open from 5pm to 9pm. We’re local regulars and love Milton’s however the Christmas Eve dinner this year was not as good as years past. They removed both the crab bisque and the salmon as options for the holiday menu and the dessert was just ok. For the very high price it was just not worth it overall. While I understand a holiday menu comes at a price, we expected better offerings such as those that were omitted this year, but have been available previously. I’d hate to discontinue our Christmas Eve dinner tradition at Milton’s, but they need to offer better appetizers and higher end entrees and better than average desserts to justify the inflated cost.

Go here every year with my mother to celebrate my birthday and it’s always packed because of the holidays. But this year was different. The Meatloaf was burnt and the Gouda mashed potatoes were cold and with mom’s meal the mushroom risotto was cold. As always the staff was wonderful, replacing what wasn’t good with fresh, hot items. And the food as always, is delicious. At the end, our waitress brought a slice of carrot cake with a candle, (also wonderful, btw), but strange when she brought it over and said “here you go…happy birthday”…and then waited while mom sang Happy Birthday all by herself. Like I said, we go here every year at this time of year for my birthday, and it’s always crazy busy, but at the same time it always feels special, like Milton’s is celebrating with me. This year, didn’t quite get there. It was very good, but not the exceptional that I’m used to.

We had not been to Milton’s before but had heard about how nice it was from friends. The ambience is charming. Service was attentive. Our party selected crabcakes (fine), bolognese - very good, trout (fine) Meatloaf - fair. We had a nice bottle of Duckhorn Pinot Noir and with the fireplaces lit, it was a cozy evening.

Always a enjoyable dining experience. From the valet guys to our server, service is always sooo good and there not a bad dish on the menu! Great cocktails too.

Milton’s is our go to for fine dining. My husband ordered NY strip (medium rare) and I the crab cakes. With the exception of the steak, my crab cakes and all the sides although delicious were lukewarm, which was a little disappointing. I owe it up to being very busy (Friday before Christmas). Our server was attentive and provided excellent service. We plan to continue making Milton’s our go to restaurant for special occasions.

It’s been a while since I’ve been. It was fine. Not great but not bad. I wanted an entree salad with protein so I got the ceasar salad with salmon cooked medium well. The waiter dropped off the food and said “I’ll let you take first bites and I’ll be right back”. The salmon arrived glossy and I waited 10 minutes for him to come back. My family finished their meals before I could tell another waiter to cook salmon more. Also disappointed that for $27 it was an appetizer salad size portion with salmon on top. Usually when you add protein ($15) to a salad ($12) the portion goes from a starter to a main. Lastly, when they returned the salad to me cooking the salmon more, it was the same half eaten bed of lettuce, now soggy and warm from hanging out in the kitchen. They couldn’t even redo the bed of $1 lettuce. Little things matter when you are paying $27 for your salad.
