I came here to celebrate my assistant’s birthday. We had the buns, savoury bread and beets as starters - I have to say I really liked all 3 and were a great combination of food to start with. I had the striploin as my main meal - it was cooked perfectly and the portions were great - I had enough for a mini meal tomorrow. I have to say when dessert came the chef had prepared the apple pie like a mini cake for her bday which was really appreciated by me. The service was fantastic and the attention to details - when I reserved the table I let them know it was her birthday ahead of time - was really something that spoke to me. It’s a sign of a great place but also that they care about their customers. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a nice place to dine with great food. My entire team enjoyed the night so thank you:) Meant a lot and I’ll be back soon.

Fabulous dinner at Model Milk! Highlights were the ambiance, the calamari, warm bun, beef tartare, cod and sirloin! Great cocktails and service. 5 stars.

We enjoyed all of the food (shishito, tartare, calamari appetizers and steak as the main meal). Our server was very attentive, We will return.

Food was mostly good (Icelandic cod was too heavy but the other dishes were nice), service was slow and the seats we had by the door was freezing.

We had a reservation booked for 7pm. Upon our servers arrival to our table we were told that the bartender was “in the weeds”, therefore the server was unwilling to ask them a question about a drink we had. The server basically told us that the drinks would take over 20 minutes and that the restaurant was too busy to cater to us. Great place, great atmosphere, just unfortunate experience and this establishment is clearly not equipped for large parties, as they were also out of a dish we requested, due to not having enough food for that many large parties in the restaurant.

This is hands down one of my favourite restaurants in Calgary! I loved the calamari. It’s been on the menu for years apparently , I could probably eat 3 dishes of just that. The chicken is so juicy and crispy yumm!!! I will be back for sure. So tasty!

Model Milk in Calgary is a fantastic spot for a guy's night out! Our evening kicked off with a round of East Coast oysters, fresh and briny, setting the perfect tone. The pull-apart bread was a comforting hit—soft, buttery, and perfect for sharing. The beef tartare was top-notch, with just the right balance of richness and seasoning, while the shrimp toasties brought a creative twist with their crispy texture and bold flavors. For mains, we went with the beef strip loin and fried chicken. The strip loin was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor, paired with thoughtful sides that complemented every bite. But the fried chicken? Absolute star of the show. Crispy, juicy, and seasoned to perfection, it’s a dish that keeps you coming back for more. The ambiance at Model Milk strikes a great balance between upscale and relaxed, making it ideal for celebrating or just catching up. Pair that with attentive service, and it’s a must-visit in Calgary. Highly recommend!

Was a wonderful experience. We went for n new years and we all rung in the new years with a cheers! Was very lovely. Would recommend food was fresh and hot!!!

Service was excellent (staff). Food was not. Had to return one of the plates cause it was cold. Also, not the restaurants fault, but a guy sitting next to us was a total creep. Overall, will not return nor would I recommend it to anyone.
