   Welcome back, Mon Ami!!! The renovation is fabulous and worth the wait. The food remains delicious and the service, as always, impeccable. I was particularly impressed that prices didn’t seem to rise much at all. One very small downside for me was that they changed the baguette. The new ones are delicious, but heavier and not as crispy. All in all, a delightful night out!

   Mon Ami Gabi has reopened after months of closure. It now has a bar the length of the restaurant. We had a 9:30 pm reservation and I had requested an earlier time should one open. No one bothered to call me back and when we arrived, there were many empty available tables. That was disappointing. Their prices have skyrocketed (to pay for renovation). The food was good, although the frites to my steak, were ice cold and had to be sent back. They sent a birthday dessert, profiteroles, which was a nice touch. I like “cheap and cheerful”—this was far from cheap, but mostly cheerful. If you come be prepared to spend $150 per person and that doesn’t include wine.

   Too noisy! No noise absorbtion anywhere. Made the evening thoroughly unpleasant. Worse than before the renovation.

   The new renovation is well done and a big improvement from the old interior. I had the tuna salad, which was delicious. My only comment is that it is a huge portion, especially for lunch. I took half home. I would prefer a smaller salad and a less expensive price.

   I liked Mon Ami Gabi before the renovation much better. I used to go there for the food, it had a very nice space but very loud. I was excited to come back and see the new space and the same quality of food. The new space is beautiful, the noise level was perfect and the service was excellent. The food however was very disappointing. Very very few options in the menu for an actual meal, high prices for what the dishes were and the dishes themselves were just ok. It seems like the menu revolves around drinks now, not the food. I would come back for drinks and appetizers but not for an actual meal. I wish Mon Ami Gabi went back to their regular menu from before which used to be excellent.

   Love the new layout & decor. Same great cozy ambiance, fabulous service and delicious food and cocktails. Thank you for remembering we were celebrating our friend’s special birthday. She loved the sweet treat!

    It was our first time after the reopening of the restaurant. We were all happy with our steaks which had a very tender meat. The service was excellent. The atmosphere is quite nice. We will definitely return.
