Morimoto's contemporary Japanese menu infuses traditional dishes with Western ingredients and preparation techniques. His seasonal and ever-changing selection of raw fish preparations will feature the freshest seafood available as well as locally grown fruits and vegetables from supporting farmers. Morimoto's signature offerings include Toro Tartare, presented in a small tray with condiments including crème fraîche, wasabi, avocado, nori paste, chives, crispy rice, and dashi-soy. Tuna Pizza made with raw tuna, anchovy aioli, and jalapeno; Morimoto Sashimi, a terrine of seared Toro, smoked salmon, barbequed eel, tuna and Hamachi served with five different sauces in pipettes.

The loudest restaurant I’ve ever been in. Could barely hold a conversation at our table. Most of our food came out before the bottle of wine which was a bummer.

We had an excellent experience dining here. We asked for a quieter part of the restaurant and were accommodated. The sushi was fantastic and the wait staff was wonderful.

Fish was not fresh at all. Very disappointing for an Iron Chef. Had 2 dishes that were so fishy it was nauseating.

Our experience was less than ideal. Waiting up to 10min after our reservation time, even when people arriving after us were seated first, set the wrong tone from the start. Although we requested outdoor seating, we were placed at the only outdoor table not under covered ceiling and without any heaters on a cold night. After several attempts, a heater was brought to our table but did little to warm the party. The food was fine but incredibly overpriced. Seems like the restaurant relies on name alone for its value when the food was just…fine. We wouldn’t return on a repeat visit to Napa.

Wanted to try Morimoto’s for the first time. Nice restaurant but very loud atmosphere. Tried the wagyu gyozas…liked the presentation and they were tasty. Didn’t realize they were fried but it was good. Had the Easter special pacific bass…presented nice but overall could’ve been a little more tastier and tender. The oxtail was very unique and presented well…super tender and flavorful. Had the s’mores dessert….was good but not extraordinary. Didn’t get a candle like other tables for my birthday even though I was wished a happy birthday.

We loved this restaurant. Amazingly fresh sushi and outstanding service. Great choice of wines and food so delicious. Definitely would go back.

This was probably the freshest sushi we’ve ever had. Everything we had was amazing. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. It’s a little pricey, but well worth it for the quality of both the people and the food.
