As the name suggests, Moules a go-go is famous for its mussels, fresh from the shores of Anglesey, served in a variety of ways from simple Moules Marinieres to Korean. The vast selection of seafood dishes ranging from traditional fish and chips to scrumptious Sea Bass is impressive, though equally appealing are the locally sourced juicy steaks . After 17 successful years in business amongst tough competition, Moules a go-go is still going strong, boasting superb food and a great atmosphere in contemporary yet comfortable surroundings. The head chef and manager have been there since the restaurant’s inception; such longevity is a rare blessing in the tempestuous world of the steaming kitchen, but this dedication shows in the consistency and quality of the food and service. Moules a go-go is a real find in the heart of Chester's history.

This restaurant is brilliant. From the warm welcome to the table service the staff were excellent. The ambience was great. The food was exceptional. The regular size pots of muscles were big enough for us. The muscles were big and really tasted of the sauce and the sea. I cannot recommend this restaurant and its staff highly enough.

A true gem in Chester! I visited this restaurant today and was pleasantly surprised. The food was absolutely delicious! The oysters and mussels were fresh and full of flavor. I especially loved the seasonal salad – I highly recommend trying it, especially if you’re ordering the Set menu. The service was exceptional – everyone was so polite, attentive, and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Great prices, amazing atmosphere, and outstanding hospitality. I wish I had discovered this place sooner, but I will definitely be coming back!

Wow the Sunday roast was fabulous with extra gravy too! One of the best roasts out I've had... Pink soft beef and plenty of it. 10/10 for the crispy yet fluffy roast potatoes too! The Thai mussels are delicious with Bread and a spoon for the tasty juice. ... the mussels were plump and tasty... Couldn't fault the meal in any way. The hosts Duncan and Sheila are a joy taking time to chat to us and all the diners to give that extra special experience....The waiting on staff are a credit and clearly the kitchen works! I will tell everyone about this jewel of a restaurant in Chester. We'll be back ! Thank you

Our favourite restaurant in Chester! The occasion was for my boyfriend’s birthday and the staff made it very special for him with our favourite table decorated for his birthday, it looked beautiful and very romantic. The service was amazing and the food was gorgeous. I had the duck which was the best I’ve ever had and my boyfriend’s Steak was the best too! It felt like nothing was too much trouble. Thank you to all the staff for making it a night to remember!

First time at Moules a go go. Loved it. It was very busy when we arrived and had to wait but that was ok as we were early. We were happy that we were taken upstairs as the tables looked close down stairs. It was a lovely evening and the food was amazing. We will be back.

Dinner with a friend on wine Wednesday. The food was amazing, the service was excellent and the ambiance was just right. Can’t recommend the place enough. My friend was equally impressed Thank you from the ladies with the wine bottle coat pockets!

We are frequent diners at moulds usually with friends on a Wednesday wine offer and always find it excellent with very friendly staff also .
