One of the best restaurants in Maryland is located just two miles from I-95 exit 74 at Mountain Branch Golf Course - 20 minutes from Baltimore.
Constructed out of three acres of Oregon’s finest Douglas Fir, the historic-looking timber-pegged post and beam structure has high ceilings, multilevel architecture and a magnificent view. The Grille & Pub at Mountain Branch is a favorite for relaxing after a round of golf and is an ever-popular destination for lunch, dinner and late night. Spacious patios afford dining al fresco when the weather is mild. And when winter winds are blowing, a large fireplace keeps the inside warm and cozy. The American-classic menu offers a diverse mix of tastes, including soups, salads, and sandwiches as well as fresh fish, crab cakes and Angus beef. Our chefs take pride in keeping the offerings creative and interesting - taking full advantage of fresh seasonal ingredients.

Great atmosphere, great food, great setting and pretty decent value. This is now our go to place when we want to treat someone. One tiny complaint the mashed potatoes were just warm, not hot. But that’s minor compared to the great meal. Our favorite is the stuffed shrimp.

Met an old friend for lunch on a Sunday - I'd only been 1 other time, friend had never been....made a reservation and had a table with a nice view! Morgan was our server and she was the best - gave us ladies time to catch up, and made lunch and dessert recommendations. We went with Morgan's suggestions (crab cake w/sides and tall chocolate cake and both were delish!!!). My friend and I had such a nice time, we've decided to make it a regular thing! We will be back - and we'll ask for Morgan!

The food was excellent, probably the best steak I have had in a restaurant in a long time, cooked perfectly. Service was excellent as well. Can't wait to go back.

I’ve eaten at Mountain Branch many times and it has always been very good. So my friends suggested brunch, and I recommended we go to Mountain Branch. The service was slow, the buffet was not refreshed, and there was only one chef at the carving/omelet station . In general, the food quality was below their standards when it was available, and the selection was limited.

The first red flag was the restaurant manager greeting us while eating a Lean Cuisine. Restaurant was empty except for our table, which was reserved weeks in advance, and they were totally unprepared. Two parties going inside and a wedding outside - and we were told there was not enough staff in the kitchen or bar to manage it all. There was uncoordinated timing of food delivery and one meal was entirely forgotten. Mixed up bar orders. Lots of excuses. No effort to make amends. Oh well, we’ll just strike this from our list of special family dining locations.
