Welcome to Murray's Restaurant. Minneapolis' original restaurant for steak since 1946 & home of the award winning Silver Butterknife Steak dinner for two. Also known for mouth watering garlic toast, Hickory Smoked shrimp appetizer, and home baked pies. Well into its third generation of family ownership, Murray's stands out among local and out of town diners alike as a true Twin Cities landmark & continues to provide the best in food and service as it did in 1946.

    Murray’s held up to its reputation with a delectable 28 oz porterhouse. Melted in our mouth cooked at medium-rare. Key lime pie was a delicious way to end the night. Service was phenomenal. It was our 15th anniversary, first time eating there; we’ve gone to similar establishments on our anniversaries in the past and they celebrated with us, making it memorable and enticing us to come back again. Though noted on our reservation, that was not done here

    Wow! Are you kidding me, our server was hospitality focused! The food was incredible. The steak for two, the risotto; the raspberry pie. Come and leave FULL! What a great night. Look forward to many more celebrations here!

    Service was fantastic, had a minor issue with our meal and had half our bill compt, above and beyond service. Would definitely return. Highly recommend.

    Food amazing as always. Had a friend in from Chicago, she loved it. Asked for a smaller filet, they gave her an off the menu one. Emily was an amazing server. Raspberry pie is a must!

    We had the Silver Butter Knife Steak — definitely enough for two people, and delicious (ordered medium rare). We chose the Brussels sprouts for our side. Before the main course, my partner said her Caesar salad was the best she’d had, and I loved the French onion soup. That said, what really shined was the service.

    Steaks are amazing. We had smoked shrimp for appetizer and it was ok. The shrimp was chewy and overcooked so I would not recommend it. Everyone raves about the French onion soup but it is very salty for my taste. We were told that they have world famous secret recipe bread and again I have had better bread. If you go, go for the steaks and the raspberry pie.

    In the 30 years, we have been going to this remarkable restaurant. We have never found ourselves disappointed.
