Napa Valley Bistro was opened in 2013 by chefs Bernardo Ayala and Ernesto Martinez, (also co-owner of Market in St. Helena). Their friendship and working relationship, which has lasted over 20 years was so successful, they decided to pool their resources and stake a claim in downtown Napa's expanding culinary scene. Their aim was to create their own version of classic world cuisine in a comfortable space where family and community could gather for any occasion. The twist is evident in the menus, which sample fare from around the globe. Guests can choose from traditionally prepared Mexican Empanadas or timeless American favorites like the Lamb Burger and St. Louis Ribs. Other options include Vegetarian Spring Rolls, Chinese Chicken Salad and Seasonal Risotto. Our Wine & Beer List includes local wines leaning toward small producers & craft brews.

We visit Napa Valley Bistro several times per year. The food is exceptional, and the creativity of the Chief is outstanding. The prices are more than fair, and the staff is both welcoming and attentive.

As usual fantastic. It was a lovely quiet lunch time, so we could talk and just relax and enjoy. I had the sesame crusted ahi and it was really good. The service here is always fantastic our server was just the sweetest. I have been to NVB many times but this was an extra special visit. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Our last dinner after two wine tastings so we wanted comfort food. It was so good!! Lemon thyme risotto and short ribs were both outstanding!

Poor service at bar. Crab Louie tha did not have traditional dressing and very little crab

Hello Jacqueline - All our sauces and dressings are made fresh in-house. I believe you ordered a small salad, which will have less crab than the large. We are sorry to hear that your experience was not as expected.

Average food, limited menu. It was extremely noisy. Waiter made it sound like he was doing us a favor my having the bartender make a martini.
