Napa Valley Bistro was opened in 2013 by chefs Bernardo Ayala and Ernesto Martinez, (also co-owner of Market in St. Helena). Their friendship and working relationship, which has lasted over 20 years was so successful, they decided to pool their resources and stake a claim in downtown Napa's expanding culinary scene. Their aim was to create their own version of classic world cuisine in a comfortable space where family and community could gather for any occasion. The twist is evident in the menus, which sample fare from around the globe. Guests can choose from traditionally prepared Mexican Empanadas or timeless American favorites like the Lamb Burger and St. Louis Ribs. Other options include Vegetarian Spring Rolls, Chinese Chicken Salad and Seasonal Risotto. Our Wine & Beer List includes local wines leaning toward small producers & craft brews.

The food was so good here! Our waiter was very friendly, helpful, and nice. Will definitely come back here next time we're in Napa.

Napa Valley Bistro is amazing. We had a party of 12, 4 were kids. They were very accommodating with our two gluten free kids. They were very attentive. Food was amazing, we were there for the last day of their wild meat promotion. Boar Short Ribs and Rack of Venison were just to name a few of the specials. jWe had an early reservation and were the first to arrive but shortly after we sat down the place began to fill up. Although it was packed it was not too noisy and it was not cramped. Parking took a while to fine since it was the weekend. Calamari was very good and not overly breaded. We will definitely go back.

We visit Napa Valley Bistro several times per year. The food is exceptional, and the creativity of the Chief is outstanding. The prices are more than fair, and the staff is both welcoming and attentive.

As usual fantastic. It was a lovely quiet lunch time, so we could talk and just relax and enjoy. I had the sesame crusted ahi and it was really good. The service here is always fantastic our server was just the sweetest. I have been to NVB many times but this was an extra special visit. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Our last dinner after two wine tastings so we wanted comfort food. It was so good!! Lemon thyme risotto and short ribs were both outstanding!
