Christmas Eve is dinner will be a curated $92/per person prix fixe. Large parties of 6+ will be invited to our family friendly, buffet-style seating. Parties of 1-5 will be served a la carte in our main dining rooms. Since our early days as a tea room, we’ve been a respite for locals and visitors alike, offering a haven for conversation and memorable cuisine. Located in historic Blagden Alley in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood since 2015, The Dabney continues to pay tribute to the wonderful farmers, watermen, and purveyors of the mid-Atlantic region whom provide some of the best and most unique products in the country. We celebrate these ingredients by preparing them in a large wood burning hearth which is the centerpiece of our open kitchen. The current dining room experience is an 8-course tasting menu honoring the Mid-Atlantic's bounty. We offer an additional 3-course experience at our bar and bar area tables. Walk-in guests are welcome to enjoy the bar area as well.The Dabney has been awarded one Michelin star every year since 2017, James Beard Foundation Best Chef Mid-Atlantic for Chef Jeremiah Langhorne in 2018, and Washingtonian Magazine's #1 restaurant in 2023.     Nice setting and tasty food. The service was intrusive. Multiple people asked, literally every two minutes, if we were ready to order … six times in the first ten minutes after arrival. We were rushed through the meal, and then the manager, who never stopped by to ask about the meal, informed us that we could continue our meal at the bar. Mind you, we had a reservation, and were on time. I was with an elderly friend who needed assistance. It was uncomfortable and unwelcoming.

    Great spot for dinner. There is a parking garage around the corner which is extremely convenient. Didn't wait at all to be seated. Service was very pleasant and attentive. I had the Bronzino and it was 5 stars. So delicious. Highly recommend!

    I had not been to the Tabard Inn in a while, but so glad we had lunch there today. Everyone from the host to the server was welcoming and nice. The food was delicious - I had a salad with grains, greens and squash that i topped with grilled shrimp and it was fabulous. I will definitely be back soon.

    This was our first time and we took a friend with us and had a Wonderful Lunch, the food was great the service was excellent and the atmosphere was amazing. We will be back and can’t say enough about how we enjoyed this place.
