The restaurant space can accommodate dining for 200 guests and a fabulous covered and heated outside dining terrace perfect for alfresco dining.The venue has ample car parking and provides a picturesque environment for dining. The menu includes traditional British favourites like home-made Lancashire Cheese and Onion Pie as well as cuisine inspired by the family’s travels around the world. The restaurant is open Tuesday - Sunday for lunch and dinner, Saturdays and Sundays are also open for breakfast.

Sokrates Greek Taverna on Winter Hey Lane in Horwich is a relaxed, friendly restaurant serving dishes from Greece, Cyprus and Eastern Mediterranean. The dining room has a light and easy-going ambience like a typical Greek Taverna. The focal point of the menu is the Greek Meze which is a selection of dishes served to the middle of the table for people to share over an hour or so. It's a great way to eat and experience a variety of flavours. The Meze can be tailored for vegetarians and for special diet restrictions such as gluten or dairy intolerance. On the A'la Carte menu one can find all the popular dishes like Mousaka, Stifado and delicious Souvlaki (skewers) and Lamb Koftas cooked on real charcoal. Home made desserts are very popular with Baklava and the Greek Yoghurt cheesecake. Sokrates Taverna also has an excellent selection of wines and beers from Greece and Cyprus.

The Hop Vine formerly the ‘Royal Hotel’ was built in 1874 and was the main stopping off point for goods being transported to and from the old Turnpike road the A59. The Royal as it was known has served the community and travellers alike. To the rear of the building in our historic Cobbled Garden you will find our own brewery housed in the stables which were used for the horses and stage coaches as they passed through the village. From Ales to YPA’s, to Blonde beers we are a small producer using primary English hops brewing exclusively in house for The Hop Vine and our sister pub the Legh Arms.Our countryside sister the Legh Arms is our latest addition to the family and is situated in the pretty hamlet of Mere Brow. Here we serve our trademark delicious home produced quality food and excellent home brewed ales. We opened our first restaurant in Castlefield, Manchester in 2004 with a clear aim: To deliver quality food to local customers at a reasonable price in a sharp, modern space with friendly, unpretentious service. We have pursued that goal ever since and it has earned us many loyal customers. Our menu is probably classed as British with some additional favourites from Italy and around the globe. Albert's Worsley provides a slick, modern space with dining for 180 guests inside and features a fabulous outside dining terrace for 60.The restaurant is open Tuesday - Sunday for lunch and dinner, Saturday and Sunday are also open for breakfast.

    We visited for the £14.94 for two courses lunch. There was a fantastic number of dishes to suit all tastes and specific diets. Each course tasted amazing and the service was first rate with very quick, efficient and very friendly service. Our waitress Jackie was so bright and cheery and was a breath of fresh air. It was my partners first visit to Alberts, Standish and he now says it's his new favourite. Amazing value for such superb food we will be returning very soon.

    We had a delicious lunch off the festive menu. The table setting was lovely and the food very tasty. The staff were friendly and courteous. Well done, a great experience.

    Every time I go it’s amazing, not once have I been and not enjoyed the food the atmosphere the service. Nick and Christine efficient fabulous nothing is too much trouble. Get the Meze it’s good value for money and everything on it is amazing
