The Hop Vine formerly the ‘Royal Hotel’ was built in 1874 and was the main stopping off point for goods being transported to and from the old Turnpike road the A59. The Royal as it was known has served the community and travellers alike. To the rear of the building in our historic Cobbled Garden you will find our own brewery housed in the stables which were used for the horses and stage coaches as they passed through the village. From Ales to YPA’s, to Blonde beers we are a small producer using primary English hops brewing exclusively in house for The Hop Vine and our sister pub the Legh Arms.Our countryside sister the Legh Arms is our latest addition to the family and is situated in the pretty hamlet of Mere Brow. Here we serve our trademark delicious home produced quality food and excellent home brewed ales.     A superb birthday treat! Warm and friendly welcome from the staff in what is a gorgeous building. The waiter was amazing, really great recommendations with highlights being the ‘cows in blankets’ and the refreshing hangover cure! He was super friendly, had a great manner with him and softly sold the upsells :) Will definitely be recommending and will be back!Ten Out of Ten!

    Food was good and came out quickly, Joe was helpful with reccomendations for beer, cask was good just wish there was a little more range but they said that's getting bigger soon. Overall great evening and would 100% reccomend!
