The food was very good, the portions were very good.

What the restaurant may lack in curb appeal, we were pleasantly surprised by the menu options and the food was very good.

We went here, a 30-45 minute drive from our home in San Francisco, for my 86th birthday as Vietnamese is my favorite foreign food because it was listed in Michelin Bib Gourmand , which I have found consistently reliable unlike Michelin * (Star) which seems to be about showing the chef's skill in making difficult but not necessarily delicious meals. To my surprise it was not wonderful traditional Vietnamese food but rather Vietnamese derived contemporary innovative dishes. Happily everything, from appetizers to main courses to desert and even coffee, was delicious and the service strikingly personal and pleasing with prices lower than San Francisco. A great birthday experience:)

We went for the black angus birthday special trio meal. The steaks were grilled to our request of medium rare, the sides were done expertly. Overall a great experience.

Great ambiance and great food for a sisters reunion.
