Guests will experience a coastal menu with organic presentations and flavors from noted Executive Chef James Hackney, an award-winning wine list, and a breathtaking view of Pleasant Bay. Pisces Restaurant features coastal cooking with a Mediterranean flair. Our menu is a celebration of all things seasonal featuring mostly Cape Cod's native seafood as well as a variety of non seafood options. This is a Chef owned restaurant that is well know for its light fresh cooking style and a menu that changes often. Favorite dishes include sautéed calamari, lobster corn chowder, risotto, seared rare tuna, cornmeal crusted cod and a killer ribeye steak! Warm rosemary foccacia and famous desserts are made in house. Our carefully selected wine list is designed to compliment our cuisine and offers over 20 wines by the glass, craft and local beers as well as classic and creative cocktails. Local art is carefully displayed throughout the cozy dining room where there is an intimate 7 seat bar. Pisces is open seasonally, so plan to stop in between April and Columbus Day weekend. Reservations are highly recommended and limited as many guests book well in advance.

From July 1st, 1957, there had been two owners of Pates, Cloyde Pate followed by the Gardner family of Chatham. Mr. Pate opened the doors to what would soon become one of Cape Cod’s most beloved restaurants. Once a cozy hamburger and ice cream stand, Pates grew to be a place of celebration, camaraderie, and community. From the bonds staff made during countless summer seasons, to the engagements, anniversaries, birthdays, and family gatherings, Pates has been a backdrop for exceptional moments and people.
We are honored to steward the next chapter of the Pates journey. A renovated space to create new memories and friends, Pates is still that very special place. With careful consideration, we have redefined this Chatham classic and are serving up an experience rooted in the best things in life: great food, good people, and lifelong memories.

We offer an extensive menu featuring Cape Cod Coastal Cuisine that celebrates local seafood and creative dishes by our Chef Owner Ben Porter! THE CHATHAM CUT offers an especially unique, intimate dining experience.
We specialize in freshly-cut meats. Our steaks are freshly-cut every day.
The Chatham Cut does NOT use pre-packaged previously cut pre-weighed plastic-wrapped meat, or cook our steaks using the "Sous Vide," method as many other non-specialist restaurants do. Every "Cut," is fresh, which offers the special flavor profile our guests have searched for.
Our offerings are prepared in the true steakhouse old-world tradition. Side options are also steakhouse traditional, with fresh vegetables as well as loaded baked potatoes.
For those who love seafood, we offer our oysters, sourced from within walking distance and many exciting spins on traditional offerings. The Cut's Yellowfin Tuna is popular as a Tartar as well as our Sushi-Grade Entree.

    Menu was extensive, cocktails were creative, food was excellent, and prices mostly very reasonable. Tuna cone small plate was a hit! A little loud in there but overall a great dinner, we’ll definitely be back!

    Delightful! As locals here for the first time, we had heard that it was noisy and out-of-this-world expensive. We found neither to be true. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening, the pace of service, and our server Amy was excellent.

    Our New Year's Day lunch was wonderful. We were seated in the sunny front of the tavern and had the most exceptionally pleasant server. My friend's quiche and salad was described as very good and my fish and chips confirmed my choice was on-point. The french fries are the best. Only downside was, when first seated the restaurant wasn't nearly full and the noise level was very high. By the time we left, most tables were filled, so the noise was understandable at that stage. Still, this could be my new favorite eatery in Chatham.
