Nell's is an intimate, chef-owned restaurant located in the vibrant Green Lake neighborhood. Open for dinner seven nights a week, Nell's offers European-inspired New American cuisine featuring the finest Northwest seasonal ingredients. If we do not have your desired reservation time available online, please give us a call.

Our chef Philip Mihalski's cooking approach unites his classic training in some of the most celebrated kitchens in New York City and France with his passion for freshness and simplicity.

Nell's menus are designed to pair beautifully with your wine selection from our large wine list. We also offer vegetarian and vegan options on request.

We have worked with customers on a range of events, such as weddings, corporate dinners, memorial services, office lunches, Bar Mitzvahs, Bat Mitzvahs, holiday parties and simple cocktail receptions. The bottom line is that we are flexible.

                                            Year after year the food remains excellent, as does the service. Neither are flashy but both are memorable.

                                            We were extremely disappointed. Being this was a New Year’s Eve dinner and the price was $140 a person we expected so much more. From the ambience in the restaurant to the food and even the service, it all fell short. all the tables are super cramped in there and so you felt like you’re on top of everybody and it was really bright inside so that made it even more so. The table that we were at I think they just added for New Year’s Eve. It was really in the walkway and right next to where their coat closet was and the back door At one point the server reached over our table to a counter that was behind us that had wine bottles and wine glasses to grab glasses and a bottle of wine to serve to another table. Then the food it was not worth $140 a plate. it was so bland it was nothing special and most of the dishes came out cold. One dish was a risotto and it was so crunchy and undercooked. I did send that back and my husband got the Foie Gras it was also cold. The rice came back and it really just tasted like mushroom rice that you could make from a box of uncle Ben’s. It did not taste like risotto at all . Then the courses after that were cold my main course all the vegetables were cold. It was a seared Ahi and t outside was cold. The plate was cold. We did let the server now and they did take off the extra charge for the smoked lobster I had which was just OK. They also took off the bottle of sparkling water that we ordered. Then came dessert and I was hoping it was going to end the night well but it tasted like something you could buy at the grocery store. It was a flourless chocolate cake and it had so much almond flavor in it. That’s all you tasted and then my husband has a lemon tart and it was just this Bland dessert. We live in the area and we have never been to this restaurant before and we would not go back it was nice that they took some off of our bill but we still ended up spending over $300.

                                            Fantastic New Year’s Eve fixed price 5 (or 6?) course dinner. Delicious food, full restaurant! Fun way to indulge New Year’s Eve.

                                            There was good ambiance for the New Year's Eve with balloons and most patrons nicely dressed. The service was prompt and good. It was a 5.5 course meal presented over 1hr 45 minutes. There was no memorable/exceptional course. Tuna crudo with parsnip/raddish salad was ok. Black cod with pickled cabbage slaw was quite good. Risotto were quite Al Dante and not very good and the main course of seared ahi was poor and needed some sauce. The best course was desert of lemon tart. I will summarize the overall experience as average.

                                            I wanted a quality high-end dining experience and I got it. Nell’s has been around for a very long time. The restaurant is intimate without being cramped. Conversation is easy because it’s not noisy. We had quality service and the food is very good. I gave Nell’s 4 stars for value but that might be more indicative of Seattle in general than Nell’s. Compared to dining most anywhere in the world, Seattle is expensive and Nell’s seemed pricey for the portions served. But overall it’s a satisfying experience.
