                                  Each dish had surprising elements for taste and texture-starters, mains and desserts. Easily our favorite meal in Scotland. Service was outstanding. House wine was delicious!

                                  We had an excellent lunch with uniformly well-executed and nicely-presented dishes, served with expertise and charm. This was a delightful lunch experience and our visitors were greatly impressed, envious of our superb local eateries.

                                  Delicious food, attractively presented. As a person who needs a gluten free menu, I appreciated the care that was taken to provide me with alternative elements in dishes where a gluten containing item had to be removed.

                                  What a fantastic experience! We got the pea soup the pesto and pine nuts, the mousse (which was like an artwork on display) and the date sticky pudding which was next level. What a great time. Then we walked 15 minutes down to the Botanic Gardens, which is right at the end of the street. I recommend that itinerary…. Eat at No.16 then tour the garden. Such a great location, decor and setting.

                                  Great little restaurant in the West End. Very varied menu. Our party of 4 chose a different starter each and all were very enjoyable. Our main courses were equally delicious. Service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. All happy diners. No complaints whatsoever and would definitely recommend.

                                  Overall a delicious meal. However three who chose sticky fig dessert were unanimous that it was not sticky and was lacking in caramel sauce.
