                                                                                              Wonderful seafood restaurant 400 miles from the east coast. Liz is an excellent server and the entire staff is customer-focused. Highly recommend going early and sitting at the oyster bar.

                                                                                              Choose seating in the dining area, not the bar side. Bar side is not relaxing, noisy and rushed. We have been in the dining area before and it was just soooo nice.

                                                                                              Last 2 previous experiences have been awful. Service was so bad it ruined the entire evening. Food was not cooked properly. Living close to the shore for the past 30+ years we can get picky… but proper technique is something that isn’t regional. This said, we decided to give it one last shot. Service was remarkably improved. Everything from the waiter (Jake) including introductions, menu knowledge, and selections were absolutely spot on. We were a party of 2 and easily could be overlooked, but the staff seemed to work in unison and the flow was great! This makes for an overall enjoyable experience. Salmon sashimi , not on the menu, but the kitchen accommodated our wish and it was delicious. The rest of the meal still lacked the proper cooking techniques. The grouper was way over sauced and overpowering but the fish was cooked well. The stuffed shrimp was way overcooked and looked like it may have sat under the lamp for a while. Overall, a much better effort and dining experience.

                                                                                              For reference we visit this restaurant several times per year. Everyone in our group agreed it’s time to change it up. Fish on a dish with the same 3 seasoning options is no longer appealing at this price point. The “Sampler” is always the special. The restaurant for us has become redundant. This visit, we were seated in the overflow or party room as some call it. This area does not lend to a nice evening out environment. Our meal started with Oysters, followed by a couple samplers, entrees, dessert and coffee. Anyone with a cappuccino received lukewarm, almost cold coffee. The ruby red trout muniere was not well received in taste by anyone. The stuffed filet is excellent. Chilean sea bass special was average. Great for first-timers as the menu would be new. The oyster menu has a good variety of east coast/west coast options. In our opinion this restaurant needs to find some creativity going forward.
