Totally missed it. Great spot with appropriate decor for sure. Service was great…. To a certain level. Cocktails were well done and food came out in a timely manner. Entrees were just awful. Flavor and presentation were great but the Osso bucca was dry. The red wine reduction was perfect but really dry meat. The crabcakes were also bone dry. When bringing it to the servers attention he pointed out that they were done without breadcrumbs etc which is how we prepare them. No apologies or replacement or adjustment on the bill!!! Really! No management oversight either. Good luck to the locals….

Old city house inn & restaurant is a favorite of ours and we always enjoy our time there. We took friends who have never been. This time it was extremely noises and difficult to hear each other. Hence to lower rating on the ambience. As usual the food is always good

This is a great restaurant in the old town. Great food, service, presentation. Met a lovely couple sitting at a table next to ours. Would definitely recommend. You won’t be disappointed. The only negative- parking can be a challenge

This restaurant never disappoints. Went for an anniversary dinner . They gave us a lovely table. Service was excellent. The escargot and shrimp cocktail were a fabulous start. The rack of lamb and osso bucco delicious. We had a perfect ending with the cherry cheesecake and thoughtful Happy Anniversary written on our plate!

Really lovely dining experience in a quaint inn with very good food and friendly service! Highly recommend for a romantic dinner or a quiet evening with friends or family.

Had a great experience and dinner was excellent. A little crowded but this did not impact us that much. Food was great and cooked to perfection

The main complaint: It was my wife's birthday and at the end of the meal the server said to her, Would you like a birthday desert? She said ok, assuming it was complimentary like many other restaurants do. When I got the bill there was a charge of 12.50 for the desert. When I inquired I got this confusing explanation. SO, mistake number one was that I should have asked if there was a charge, even though the invitation sounded complimentary. Even so, the server should have been transparent and said there would be a charge; otherwise, it would appear that the omission was for a reason. A real let down to the meal. Always ask the price at a restaurant, even for a beer where the charge is rarely on the menu.
