Welcome to Old Town Tequila Factory Restaurant & Cantina, a hillside retreat in San Diego offering authentic Mexican food, refreshing margaritas, and breathtaking views from Old Town to Mission Bay. Enjoy fresh tortillas and churros, live music, and rooftop patio dining. Plus, free parking!

Located atop the Best Western Plus Hacienda Hotel, we're right across the street from Heritage Park on Juan Street. Bring your friends and family for an All American Breakfast Buffet, dive into our Taco & Tostada Lunch Buffet, or sit down for a plated Dinner. On Sundays, enjoy our Bottomless Brunch Buffet, or stop by after work for Happy Hour on the Tequila Terrace.

Additional street parking in front of the restaurant on Juan St. and public parking on the corner of Juan and Harney footsteps from the restaurant's front door. So, you know the old saying," you get what you pay for" and it is true here, at best average food, EXCEPT for the chicken skewer, that my husband had which was raw. Totally put us off the whole place. Service was good, and friendly, but the food...Oh dear.

The food is a 5* for sure. They have large servings as well. The carnitas enchiladas were bomb, the steak and shrimp fajitas also bomb. The service was a 3*... the waitress was a bit rude. We had 8 total with 4 kids with us, she was not friendly. I noticed the attitude and didn't say anything, then my husband noticed and told me she wasn't friendly. Our kids were well behaved and we weren't difficult with orders or anything so not sure what was up. I would not consider this place kid friendly for a few reasons. 1. No activity sheet with crayons for kids, they gave us 1 kids menu for both of our families to share, not sure they were low or what but we asked for two and were told they only had 1. They don't have kids cups with lids and straws, this alone is almost worth not going back. Both the 4 year olds spilled their water and were playing with it. Their cups for the kids were just open cups. If you get kids cups with kids and straws then let us know and we will be back. The alcoholic drinks were okay. I sensed some carbonation in the skinny margarita which I hate, the menu did not say it had soda water. The glass was skinny and tall, I personally look forward to the classic old fashioned double walled glasses. The tajin rim was weak too. Overall the food was so good almost worth going back for but would love to see some friendlier service and kids cups.

Good overall...tortilla soup was mid at best. The fajitas were good but pricey for what you get. Nice place.

I liked this place way back when it was Acapulco, so I was hoping it would be good in this new iteration. It is. We had fajitas and carnitas...both delicious! Service was courteous. Drinks were tasty, although on the small side. Maybe go for the pitcher

Good food. Prices have increased but portions are large. Best to get in the patio, interior noise levels high
