Olio e Limone Ristorante, located in downtown Santa Barbara's ARTS District, serves artisanal Italian cuisine. Meaning “oil and lemon” in Italian, their restaurant’s name reflects husband-wife team Alberto and Elaine Morello’s philosophy: rely on the integrity of the ingredients and quality of the preparation to provide Santa Barbara diners “simply sophisticated” Italian cuisine served in an inviting atmosphere with European hospitality. Start with eggplant souffle, then tuck into a plate of house made duck ravioli or Sicilian spaghetti with bottarga. And be sure to take home a bottle of their own olio, an organic extra-virgin olive oil made from Sicilian olive varieties.
Bonus: their contemporary Italian breakfast, lunch & retail spot Olio Bottega, and authentic pizzeria next door at Olio Pizzeria. Private dining in the Cucina Room for up to 40 guests.

My favorite go to for Italian food. Everything we ordered was so fresh..It was if the chef thought we were the only people in the restaurant .. Service was outstanding.. Very attentive but not overbearing.. Can’t wait to return again soon !!

We had a delightful evening celebrating our wedding anniversary at Olio e Limone. The food was good--though next time I'll stick with one of my typical choices instead of going for variety. Our server was pleasant but not omnipresent; we were able to enjoy our conversation without many interruptions. The complimentary dessert was the icing on the cake, so to speak. Overall it was a lovely visit and I am very glad we decided to mark the occasion at Olio.

What a lovely restaurant. It’s big, but not especially noisy. We were seated next to a table with five small children, and we were able to talk to one another easily. New Year’s Day evening is a great time to go to dinner! It was easy to get a reservation, the venue is lovely, and we all thought the food was excellent.

New Years Eve in Santa Barbara. Was able to get a table. Unfortunately, they were slammed and despite having a reservation, still had to wait outside in the cold. Fortunately, one of the bus boys helped us out and sat us outside next to a heater. Food was of high quality. Pasta made by hand. Flavors were above average. A little on the pricey side. Would return for Italian in Santa Barbara.

We booked for a birthday/special occasion and were seated past 7:45, about 7:50 pm for a 7:30 dinner reservation… We also got there ahead of a party or parties who were sat before us despite us arriving before them. And again for a special occasion like a birthday this was a real bummer, on top of the host lying to us that the other parties had an earlier reservation time but we heard them all check in after us and had the same or later than our reservation period, yet again still were seated ahead of us… real unfortunate experience for a finer dining restaurant and establishment. When I called all that out back to the host, he stopped responding and walked away… The waiter also never came to our table, instead he tried to sit another party in front of us. Then the host just took over our table for the night since the appointed waiter he said would come to our table never did. He seemed frustrated that we were going to sit at a table despite waiting for it longer than we should have - that he/the waiter promised to another group he knew… but the host interrupted him since I had spoke up about the situation. There is also no where to wait, so we stood at the front of the restaurant door with approximately 3-5 groups at a time in the way and shuffling for workers and other people entering and leaving… it was something you would not expect at a “higher rated” business.
