Tucked into one of Portland’s beautifully restored industrial buildings, Olympia Provisions Southeast has grown from establishing the city’s first salumeria to being a destination for refined, European-style dishes. Our menu here is guided by the capable hands of Chef Matthew Jarrell, and reflects an innovative approach to the traditions of rustic Spanish and Mediterranean cooking. In combining these methods with the clean, bold flavors of the Pacific Northwest, Jarrell's dishes highlight the locally-sourced meats and seasonal vegetables you’ll find on his menus.     We sat at the bar. Our service was outstanding and the food was delicious. We usually go to Olympia Provisions for lunch or brunch but we will definitely go back for dinner after our wonderful meal!

    Another fantastic experience at Olympia Provisions. It was great to be there to celebrate their 15th anniversary. The meal was amazing and the staff made it feel like it was our anniversary not theirs.

    Everything was overstalted, the salad, our main courses, everything. My partner’s agnolotti arrived barely warm. It was both chewy and hard; basically inedible. The sole was salty. It was a fiasco. The service was about as uncaring and impersonal as it was rare. Not going back.

    Excellent service, drinks & food. We had 4 different specialty cocktails and all were excellent. Steak Tartare was flavorful and fresh. Sweetbreads came out too salty and the waitress replaced them quickly and this time they were perfect. We even took Spanish sausage sampler home. Always a solid place to go.

    Excellent experience for our group of 6. The neighborhood is a bit desolate at night these days, but restaurant is very warm and inviting once you enter. Great food, generous portions, every dish was well prepared, and service was friendly and prompt. The short rib was just outrageous in terms of not only taste but also pure dimensions - haha - recommend highly.

    Dinner for 8 was more than expected. Food was adequate for prices charged. Service was courteous and professional though the perfume was over powering and over whelming to me though others didn’t notice it. We dine here several times a year as they take large groups but woukd not rush back for a dinner for two.

    I’ll start by saying that the food was fantastic! There were three of us and we ordered across the large plates. Nothing disappointed! We did start with a cheese board. The French Brie that was included was outstanding. I also found they have a really lovely wine selection. Kudos to the bartender for delicious aperitif cocktails. From a service level, our server was very nice and courteous, so that went well. But there were some long delays on when bevies and food were brought out. I am one who appreciates a nicely paced dinner but the wait time between drinks and courses was quite erratic. One other thing, and no fault of the restaurant, and a bit of a surprise, the restaurant uses the lobby section of the building they are in for some of its dining space. Well, the building decided to do an art show this evening, to the surprise of Olympic Provisions. We still had a table. Which is good. But we had random people walking around us to look at art!! 🤣 I don’t think this is usual. But the use of the lobby space is. It does remove you from the atmosphere of the actual dining space. Not sure if you can specify a table but if you can definitely ask to be seated in the actual dining room, it looked really cozy.
