Ooka is a groundbreaking Asian restaurant set in the unsuspecting area of Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania. Opened in July of 2009, Ooka is setting the standard for forward thinking Japanese cuisine and gourmet hibachi in Southeasten Pennsylvania. The restaurant is highlighted by warm earth tones, deep banquets, lively hibachi entertainment and dim candlelight atmospherics. Ooka takes a modern minimalist approach to classical Japanese dishes with utmost thought and attention to purity, simplicity and seasonality. Had a wonderful experience at Ooka. Food was presented well and extremely tasty. Our server was excellent, made sure we always had everything we needed and was very pleasant. Atmosphere in the dining room was good and relaxed. Only complaints I had, and these were minor, was the frigid draft that hit us when the doors were open, and there was a pretty constant amount of noise from the hibachi side, but it wasn’t enough to even rate as annoying. Overall we will definitely return

Amazing freshness in a very friendly environment. The sashimi is the freshest and best anywhere. I love the pork dumplings and the succulent bass appetizers as well. The service by the friendly staff is outstanding.

Service was poor, sushi was average, never received half of of our meal, they only discounted that meal 10%. Very disappointed!

Excellent Maki rolls, our favorite was the 309 roll. Tuna pizza appetizer and flourless chocolate cake with raspberry sauce were so tasty!!!

Service was spotty. Busboys happily ignored us. Extra plates and serving utensils, and utensils were hard to come by. Sushi is fresh& good.. but rolls are uninspired flavor wise.
