Ophelia's on the Bay is one of Sarasota’s premier fine dining waterfront restaurants. Enjoy beautiful vistas of Little Sarasota Bay, from the floor-to-ceiling windows that line the dining room. Or join us for al fresco dining on our open-air patio, as the dolphins and manatee swim by. Winner of many awards both locally and nationally, including an Excellence rating from Zagat as well as being listed as the number one restaurant in America in Power and Motoryacht Magazine for dock and dine. Ophelia's on the Bay has also been voted most romantic, best waterfront and best restaurant with a view by its loyal customers. The menu changes nightly using fresh and seasonal ingredients, fresh fish flown in from all over the world and specialty meats. There is certainly something for every palate!                                                             Great ambience!! The food a little too pricey in my opinion! The best was the carrot cake for dessert!! I recommend sitting outside to get the full experience. Great service from our waitress!! We would go back!

                                                            Unfortunately, our dining experience did not measure up to past times dining at Ophelia's. We did not get the table we requested on the reservation and the hostess became quite rude when we asked for another table. The food also was not up to par. First, we were told that there were no special requests - in this case to leave the sauce off (not asking for a special preparation). The fact that sauce could not be left off suggests things were already prepared and just re-heated when ordered. The lazy lobster used to be an impressive dish with the lobster meat laid out like a lobster. Now it was chunks of meat on top of a rice blend. The waiter was fine and was fairly attentive. After this experience we may not be returning to this once very nice restaurant.

                                                            Service was just ok, bread took 40 minutes to arrive. Food is amazing but prices have gone up way too much!!! We’ve been coming here for 13 years and unfortunately, will not be back.

                                                            We sat outside and ambiance was great. They really need heaters though, everyone was freezing. Bring a jacket for outdoors. Our waiter was great but all he did all night was apologize for how long it took for drinks and food. We have no problem paying higher prices but you should hire more people in season.
