   The food, flavors, view and atmosphere were very good. When I asked to switch from cheddar to blue cheese crumbles on my salad though the server snapped “no substitutions on any menu items”. I felt rebuked but it seemed like she was protecting the chef (maybe). Then after I agreed to the cheddar, she asked if I just wanted the cheddar left off the salad. I was thinking: like WTH? You can take it off?

   Great menu- lots of choices. The oyster appetizer was delicious. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. The view is spectacular!

   Listen.. About last night’s entree. The Fruits de Mer (see description of the dish further below). Outstanding. The scallops were the best I’ve ever had. The nasturtiums were locally grown/sourced - I have a strong appreciation for chefs that support local farmers. Thank you! “Fruits de Mer Atlantic Diver Scallops, Alaskan King Crab Merus, Maine Lobster Claws, Green Garlic-Nasturtium Pesto Cream, Genovese Basil, Toasted Pine Nuts, Andalusian Mushrooms, Ravioli di Formaggio”

   Splendid dinner with excellent service. Pricey, yes, but the location, food quality, and waitstaff make the overall experience worth the cost. Greatly appreciated that, unlike many restaurants I’ve dined at, our gift certificate could be used for tipping. A substantial percentage of the tables are on a waterfront deck which is fine on a nice night, but we were glad to have an inside table with a perfect view of outdoor diners coping with high winds. Looking forward to returning before heading home up north.

   Wonderfully prepared dishes, attentive service and views of the water as good as anywhere. One of very best in the Sarasota area

    Casually elegant, or is it elegantly casual? Beautiful views, unique cocktails, tasty salads, delicious entrees (the tuna!), it was a lovely evening. It's a bit spendy, so it won't be in the regular rotation. But perfect for special occasions.
