The Iacomini Family first opened their doors in 1932, The heart & soul has been "Papa Joe" Iacomini. Iacomini Family has always been considered the first family of fine & traditional dining in the Akron area. Joe's legacy lives on with the fourth generation of restaurateurs. Judy, his daughter, & her son Jeff, & daughter Kim, continue to try & live up to his standards of excellence. This trio of new culinarians continues to bring you "The Best of Iacomini's" with new dinner menus offered monthly serving Fresh Fish, Center Cut Steaks and a combination of Northern and Southern Italian Cuisines. Papa Joe's has multiple private dining rooms with seating up to 65 guests. Tuesday through Sunday afternoons we can accommodate even larger parties. Off-site catering is offered 6 days a week for any venue of your choice. To-go service and retail wine sales are convenient at our Italian Market. Try our convenient curbside service!

                                                            Wonderful dinner experience. Service was great and food was delicious. Order the Veal Scallopini or the Chicken Francese. Large wine selection for pairing as well!

                                                            Far from authentic Italian. We had a good and attentive waiter. Food was low cost and it tasted like that. Meatballs were high in breadcrumb content and the Italian sausage needed to be cut with a knife. Marinara sauce was a poor imitation of the real thing. Rolls that came with the meal were tasteless. If you want a relatively inexpensive meal and large portions to fill you up then this is your place.

                                                            Not a good experience. Our first clue was that the parking lot was completely full. Had to park across the street. When we got to the hostess table we were told that the table was not ready. It turned out to only be a few minute wait. Then we noted that our server was working our room and apparently another. Looking around it became obvious that the restaurant was severely understaffed in the dining room. The dining room was almost full, but not packed. I didn't see anything in the other room that looked "packed". She took awhile to get us menus, awhile to take drink orders, awhile to take appetizer orders, she wasn't interested in dinner orders yet. We waited for everything. My two young grandsons were with us. They were taxed a great deal to try to keep it together. Now for the food -- The under staffing in the dining room must have been duplicated in the kitchen. My calamari was limp, and somewhat undercooked. My veal was forgettable. The only thing that was enjoyed was the fried mozzarella that the boys ordered. I don't plan to go back. A shame with all the good reviews I've seen.

                                                            Making reservation was very easy. Seated on time. Moved away from large party on request. Service was prompt and friendly. Food was prepared as requested and was delicious. Great evening.

                                                            We had reservations and got seated right away. We had the most kind, sweet waitress who brought us everything we needed even before we asked. Food was excellent, staff were all so nice. Wonderful place to gather with friends!
